Good morning, Kalos City...

As many citizens are aware, last night was the supposed date of the second terrorist bombing threat. After questioning citizens around the city, the police force decided to surround the potential site; a local and beloved coffee shop. Chief Officer Jackson Hilt arrived to personally investigate the shop at approximately 10PM sharp, arranging to contact his officers at approximately 10:30PM after initial observations had been made. However, at almost an hour past their planned ambush, no signal had yet been given from the Chief within the store. Officers on site were preparing to move in when they received a strange message over radio from Chief Officer Hilt.

The recorded log reads as follows:

[DON’T COME.] 11:27:35PM
[KEEP YOUR DISTANCE. THAT’S A DIRECT ORDER.] 11:27:53PM

Approximately 3 minutes later, an explosion shook the city.
Dutifully following orders, officers on scene maintained a wide perimeter and the terrorist bomb planted inside the coffee shop was detonated with Chief Officer Hilt still inside.

Jackson Hilt was found alive at the scene of the crime, after supposedly dragging himself from the flaming wreckage. Ambulances arrived moments later and Hilt was taken to the hospital to be treated.

Over the course of the drive, Hilt reported that he had followed three shady figures into the coffee shop before a scheduled rendezvous with the shop owner, Quin, assuming the three were curious civilians. He was then assaulted and restrained by an unknown number of thugs. "There was a male suspect who referred to himself as the ‘Boss’ of the Sun Dogs gang, and seemed to be the one in charge." stated Hilt, "I heard several suspects call him Fitz."

It has been reported that Hilt succumbed to his injuries during surgeries and has fallen into a coma. The following statement was released by the Mayor of Kalos earlier this morning as a follow up: “We are all thinking of [Hilt] at this time, and hope that he will overcome his injuries as the strong fighter he is. Unfortunately, he will be temporarily stepping down from his position as Chief of Police until a full recovery has been made and he is able to perform his duties once again. For the time being, we are not considering the possibility that his condition will not improve.”

“...In light of all said events,” the Mayor went on to say, “We must keep all citizen safety our top priority. Kalos City has recruited the help of a neighboring deputy, who generously offered to fill in while Officer Hilt recovers.”

Today, we welcome Senna Vasset as our new Chief Interim.

You arrive home later that evening to find two small parcels on your porch. The first is a coloured bandana with the symbol found on all the bomb sites, with a note reading:
"Lover, I beg of you, please don't be fooled. This city is using you without your notice. Wear this as a sign of understanding, and I will not touch you or your business."

The second parcel is a blue ribbon with a gold pin--what can only stand for the Kalos Police. It has a similar note that reads:
"Citizens, take your stand. Wear this to show your loyalty to our fallen leader; do not let our city crumble under the lies of extremists!"

It's time to make a choice--Sun Dogs or Civilians; Justice or The Law.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
This is not a mandatory event. All who participate on the Sun Dogs team will receive a Riot Badge. All who particpate for the Civilians will receive a Reject Badge.
