About past time ... technically, you need only one of them; for talking at least. The one that goes with "Ich habe + verb in last past form" (meaning you have two verbs, a modal one and the one in final position

Yeah, cases are painfull, there are 9 cases, and every word is a little bit diffrent in each of them (usually it is a diffrend ending) I guess the easiest way to somehow take control of it is to ask a question. for example: I'm going (with who?) with my friend - IdΔ (z kim) z moim przyjacielem but I'm going (to who?) to my friend - IdΔ (do kogo) do mojego przyjaciela
For what I know German "Dativ" is like Polish "celownik" and "Akkusativ" is like "biernik" and they answer the same questions.

Well, in English you usually prefer simple past, right? As in 'I went to school' - while in German you'd use 'Ich bin zur Schule gegangen' (literally 'I've gone to school'). Different tenses, but exactly the same meaning

Well cases are quite weird because there is no rule for how words change in it. I mean for every word it's amost different. But well, if you don't say some word in case everyone will understand what you mean anyway
We have only 3 times, but every person sounds different in those times so that can be a little pain in ass

Yeah, the sooner you start to learn the harder it is to learn, but I also blame schools for that. I've heard many people complaing that they don't learn anything on english, german or french lessons, but eat, talk, and do everything not this what they should 
15 is a lot. I always wanted to learn Finnish, or Nordic language, it seemed so fascinating for me. But I would have to do it myself, I didn't saw anywere courses for it
