This month's community challenge theme is EVOLUTION.

Pokemon evolve, and so do characters. How much has your character grown, changed or developed since they first joined the game? Are they a creature far different than they were before? What has led to their evolution, and is there yet more room to evolve again?

As a child Parthenia often spent her time wondering why she was never good enough, why she and the rest of her siblings where shrouded in shadows as her weak little sister was basked in the light of her mother’s affection. It never mattered what Parthenia did, how hard she worked to make her mother proud... it was never enough. It took her years to realize what a foolish pup she had been, wading through the unending murky waters trying to garner her mother’s attention.

“Hold your head high, child,” she wished she could tell her younger self. “There are far greater pleasures in this world. Do not waste your time on such useless endeavors.” Her mother was nothing more than fodder for the island to eventually kill off and neither her nor her meek, cowardly sister were worthy of the godhood that she would one day attain.

One day she would stand on the peaks of this world and laugh down at the ones who turned their backs to her.
