Spirit the Raichu

Moves: Nuzzle, Thunder Wave, Electro Ball, Grass Knot (TM)

Appearance: Spirit is a Raichu with tufts of fur on his head and chest, parts of his tail and right ear torn off, and has two deep, stitched scars in his left hind leg. Spirit got his stitched scars and his right ear and tip of his tail torn from escaping Team Flare HQ during the firing of the Ultimate Weapon. He obtained his blue and dark gray necklace when he revisited Santalune Forest after The Pokémon League.

Personality: Spirit is an overall chipper Pokemon who keeps everyone's hopes up through his jokes and quirky antics. He doesn't tend to hold grudges and is a bit too upbeat and carefree for his own good. His antics may not always express it, but he can be humble when he needs to be and cares about his friends deeply.

Backstory: When he was a young, wild Pikachu in Santalune Forest, Spirit would steal berries from unsuspecting trainers in order to feed himself and his mother. Aside from his mother, Spirit was a relatively selfish Pokémon that didn't care much about anybody else and took things for granted. One day, he got caught in the act of stealing berries and reluctantly followed the trainer, her Oshawott, and her Emolga, throughout their journey through Kalos. While he did retain his quirky attitude, he remained somewhat sour towards his new lifestyle, and was still looking out for himself.

That is, until The Incident occurred.

In a final, desperate attempt to save her child, a badly wounded Marowak asked the young Pikachu to save her cub. While the monstrous Pokémon responsible for the attack was distracted, Spirit quickly ran towards the Cubone, injured but alive, and hid her until the monster was defeated.

As the Cubone had nowhere else to go, and the team was now missing a member, the Cubone was taken in by Kelly. Spirit took it upon himself to look after the Cubone, then named Suko and protected her from then on. Though in present day, Suko is rather annoyed by Spirit, she helped him to mature and become the caring, lovable a**hole he is today.
