She is unable to use his powers at it's full extent due to her human body.
Solar Magic/Manipulation: As the Avatar of Light, through her connection with Raek, the sun is her primal source. She is directly able to draw energy from the sun. Also allowing her magic that can cast magical spells and feats. Conjuring spells of light, growth, nurturing, and transformation. As well as call upon fire, heat, and destruction. She can create, shape, and manipulate all aspects of the sun, starting from its immense heat, luminosity, mass/gravitational field, magnetic field etc. Her magic is shown in the color yellow, causing her eyes to glow when her powers activate.
Pyrokinesis: Due to the Raek being the embodiment of fire, she can generate, shape, absorb and manipulate fire. As well as cast magical spells and feats through fire. This gives her the ability to burn, melt, and incinerate matter. She is immune to fire, unable to be burned or affected by it. She able able to absorb explosions, and redirect them if desired, even negating them. She is able to infuse fire into combat, whether it be unleashing waves of fire, a close-ranged burst of flames, or other fire-based attacks.
Immortality/Ressurection: Rhea processes the ability of immortal life, and is unable to die of age or mortal wounds. However, her human body is able to be harmed. Her body will spontaneously self-combust only for the avatar to be reborn from the ashes, fully restored. If she was attacked, her wounds will eventually heal themselves by burning until the tissue is regenerated.

Solar Immunity: Immune to other effects such light, fire, heat and everything else that comes from the sun in general
Pyrokinesis:
Combustion: The power to cause matter to burst into flames
Thermokinesis: The ability to generate an extreme amount of heat from one's body, directing the heat through their body to melt or heat up objects. In extension, this allows her to see infrared
Flight
Connection to Predecessors: Rhea is able to talk to the former holders of the Soul of Raek. Each different and unique than the last. She can only talk to them while she is in a meditative state, or after she had died, therefore taking her conscious to the "Eternal Plane". Due to her predecessor's being apart of her, she is able to use their wisdom, power, and strength. Including reflexes, and combat skills during battle. A previous incarnation of a predecessor can also manifest through the current Avatar by possessing their body (only with permission, or indirectly due to during extreme moments of stress).
Weapons:
Outfit:
Gauntlets: Gold Gauntlets around her wrists that absorb, store or block forms of energy
Suit: The integration of gold on her suit allows her to absorb forms of energy, as well as store it. It is also fire-proof.
Weaknesses:
Dark Magic: Due to the Avatar being the human embodiment of light and energy, Rhea is extremely vulnerable to dark magic. Any corrupted energy or magic can possibly negate her magic and energy.
Control: Fire is chaotic, and if kept unchecked, will cause chaos. This is why Rhea is sure to have complete control over her powers at all times. If she gets upset, she loses control, causing her powers to be unstable in direct correlation to her emotions. Her energy is only as strong as her concentration and control over it is. Therefore if she loses concentration, she loses control, which in turn causes unstable powers. Control, discipline, and restraint are extremely important. Unconscious, emotion-influenced, impulsive, or reckless use of this power can be catastrophic.
Physical Drain: Due to the Homo Magi’s and Raek’s difference in pure power, the stress it puts on the body is great. Using too much power will leave her body fatigued, enough she could pass out. More powerful spells can cause serve physical drain, and even nose bleeds. With more powerful use of power, she can only use her powers for an extent of time before her body fatigues.
Energy Depletion: Extensive use of her powers over a long period of time depletes her energy reserves. The less power she uses, the less powerful her spells/constructs. She stores energy and heat within the gold parts of her suit which she can use when she's low. If the situation is dire enough, she will draw power from Raek's soul within her, using the core of his energy. Once she loses too much power, it will take her awhile to "recharge" - replenish her energy.
Energy Overload: Rhea can absorb an extent of energy, however, going past her limits will leave her unstable. The energy will correct itself by expelling from her body, which would be devastating for her and the surrounding area. Too much energy absorption will cause her to bleed from her ears and nose. The more energy she absorbs, the harder it is for her to control the excess amount. Leading to stronger yet uncontrollable energy/fire.
Severe Cold/Ice/Water: Long exposure to severe cold causes her body to slow down. If her body becomes to cold for her body to continuously heat, she cannot continue to use her powers. Severe cold and water can also extinguish her fire. Limited oxygen will make it harder for her to create fire, if at all.
The Moon: Her powers are in direct connection to the sun, as result, she is more powerful when the sun is up. The sun is her main primal source, causing her to directly take energy from the sun. Therefore at night, she doesn't have a direct link to her main primal power source and must use the energy from Raek's Soul or other forms of energy/power sources.
Character Flaw:
Recklessness: Her daringness and willingness to take risk, can at times lead to dangerous situations if she is left unchecked, or becomes too bored. Most of the time she flies head into a situation if dire enough. Something she could have inherent from her adopted father, or was even more forged by her mentor’s recklessness.
Discipline: When her mind is made up, Rhea cannot be swayed. She stands her ground, and is open to butt heads with anyone who opposes her. She lacks discipline and are flawed at stability. Having that wild streak, she dislikes taking up responsibility. However, she does not waste her energy on short-lived goals.
BACKSTORY The Greek legend of the Phoenix was one that was culture to the Astopeion people. Associated with the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by rising from the ashes of its predecessor. A Phoenix represents “transmigration of the soul”, which is the belief that the soul lives on after death to be reincarnated and begin life anew. Over 5,000 years ago, the Phoenix, Raek, had been trapped with magic by those who wished to steal their powers. They were killed after 500 years of life, but only what was left was the spirit due to the seal. The cycle could not begin anew, therefore the Phoenix Spirit merged with a homo magi, Thelxion. Making Thelxion an avatar for the spirit. Casting revenge on those who killed them, Raek and Thelxion decided to become a protector of Magic and Energy. They co-existed, Raek giving the young magic user knowledge and guidance. Even after 400 years, the connection was strong, and Thelxion's body was still a new as the day they merged. At 500 years of life, the Thelxion laid on the steps of the temple he build and burst into flames. The Phoenix was once again reincarnated, however, inside another homo magi body. Even after 3,000 years, the Phoenix is said to still be reincarnated inside a homo magi body. Each host possessing the same symbol of the spirit, a birthmark of phoenix wingspan on their back. However, the Phoenix would only live for 500 years, or even have a shorter life span. The reincarnations were avatar's for Raek's soul, and existed as one.
Each Avatar has a new and unique magic ability. Each more powerful than the last. Once they are discovered by the Pyre of Light, they are taken to the Temple of Sun to be trained in the ways of Raek. An avatar can only be fully realized once they completely merge with Raek. This state allows Raek and the Avatar to completely be in sync.

4,595 years later..... Thea Aetós was an agent undercover with the Order to figure out their plans for the current Phoenix host. Who had been alive for 499 years, and was only a year away from their death and reincarnation. Thea was part of the Pyre of Light, a group dedicated to protecting Raek, the “Eternal Fire” or “Avatar of Light”, and his reincarnations.
Unbeknownst to her, a member of the Order, Rhodes Tarron, had his doubt about the group. She was able to convince him to aid her in protecting Raek’s reincarnation, Cendrillion. The Order had finally figured out a way to harness the Phoenix’s power for their own. One thing led to another and they fell in love on their mission. Knowing that the Order needed to finally be taken down, the Pyre of Light came together to attack the base of the Order. After destroying any of the plans and taking down the Order, they prevented the creation of a weapon meant to disconnect the spirit from the body. However not preventing Cendrillion from being seriously damaged from dark magic.
Thea and Rhodes left the Order to the Temple. This is when they met with the dying Avatar at the Temple of Raek. He gave them their freedom from the Pyre and the Order and posessed them with a gift. As he was engulfed in flames, where the ashes were taken by a breeze, off to be reincarnated into the next Avatar. After the death of Cendrillion, Thea and Rhodes left to start a life for themselves. However, Thea realized she was pregnant, something she thought was impossible due to infertility. The Order tried coming after them, and Thea’s magic was more powerful than it had ever been. As if it had been amped, Rhodes realized what gift Cendrillion gave them. Once her parents realized that the spirit had been transferred to the unborn baby in Thea’s wound, they fled to protect her.
_________ ☼ __________
Rhea Tarron was born on April 9, 1994. When she was born, she had an unusual birthmark on her back, a wing span. As well as unusual yellow eyes. She grew up with her mother and father, Thea and Rhodes Tarron. Rhodes Tarron was a Homo Magi, and possessed powerful magic capabilities. Thea and Rhodes had Rhea in a small town known as Astopeion in Greek.
Her parents trained Rhea from the moment her powers kicked in, her first being energy magic. Her father focused on training her, even being a little harsh on her to make sure she didn't miss use her powers. When Rhea wasn’t training, her father had her learning spells, and the history of the Phoenix Raek.
When Rhea was in the forest, angry at her parents for their strictness, her powers activated. They became volatile and uncontrollable. She accidentally burned down a small part of the forest. Her parents yelled at Rhea, scolding her that her powers were not a toy. That at her age, her powers were too much for her body to handle if use recklessly and immaturely. Telling her that one day she will realize why they were so harsh on her. Due to her powers manifested strongly and out of control, her parents decided to send her to the Temple of the Sun to master control of her powers. At the Temple of the Sun, she gained control over her powers while still young, and seemed at ease with them.
After years with the Temple, and learning not only how to use her magic, as well as the history of the Phoenix. She was incredibly proficient with her Energy and Fire magic. However, her head-strong personality got in the way of her training. Even after 9 years of training, she had never talked fully with Raek, or her predecessor's.
Rhea later snuck out of the Temple, deciding to leave to experience life other than the one she had lived. She casted magic to protect herself from other's tracing her using magic. However, her parents caught her sneaky out quickly. They decided to take Rhea away from the Temple to experience a 'normal' life while she was still young. After all, she had over 400 years to learn and adapt to the Phoenix's powers and magic. Leaving Greece and traveling across the ocean, they settled down in Coast City. Her parents still continued to train her and teach her.
Due to her curious and adventurous nature, Rhea would commonly sneak out. Due to her new home being on the outskirts of Coast City, it was located near Edwards Air Force Base; A United States Air Force base in southern California. The first time she snuck out, she watched the airplanes as they were tested. The way the planes took off and landed left her in awe. She ran back and forth near the fence, pretending she as if she was flying. She then ended up sneaking into the airbase, when she was caught by a pilot, who had a wide smile on his face. He presented himself as Hal Jordan, and gave her a Air Force badge. He reminisced, saying that when he was younger, he did the same thing and that he followed in his father’s footsteps, becoming a pilot. That’s the moment she knew she wanted to become a pilot when she grew up.
Rhodes told Rhea they had to leave, as it was no longer safe for them there. As “they” would be coming for her. Despite her confusion, her mother and father would not confess. It wasn’t until a group of masked skilled magic users attacked her mother and father. Her mother tried to take Rhea away while her Father prevented the attackers from following them. Rhea attempted to help her Mother fight them off, only to be taken down due to her inexperience compared the attackers. As well as them casting a spell that bound her. Her attackers called themselves out, “The Order”. Despite her parents fighting as hard as they could, she watched them die in front of her eyes. The Order claimed them as “traitors”. If it had not been for Green Lantern showing up in that moment, her future would have been very different. The Order had escaped. What was left after the dust had cleared was ash and blood. Realizing that Rhea had no one left to care for her, Hal took her under his wing. He ended up adopting her, as well as mentoring her. This is when she picked her codename, Phoenix.
Hal would eventually take up her training, helping her with her constructs and other energy based powers. Due to his busy schedule between work and GL life, he would ask his family, The Jordans, to watch her.

S1
Hal brought Rhea to the team. Where she joined in 2010 after Artemis. Due to Hal’s Green Lantern’s duty, he often was called off-world. This prompted Captain Atom and Zatara to take over her training during those times.
She grew very close to Zatanna, as both shared the common ground of being homo magi. She also made quick friends with Dick, as they were both orphans. Rhea lived in the cave while she was doing missions with the team, otherwise, she lived in Coast City with Hal.
Inbetween S1-S2
Later, while in space, she joined the interceptor crew, which consisted of Hal, Kilowag, Razor and Aya when they were on their mission in the Forgotten Zone. The entire journey though the forgotten zone gave her a better understanding of the emotions, and their placement on the emotional spectrum.
During the mission to rescue Razer from the Red Lantern Corps on Shard, Rhea and Hal battled with Atrocious. Rhea fell on Atrocitus’s sword to save Hal. Forced to flee, Hal and the Interceptor crew fled, believing Rhea to be dead.
She woke up, her wounds healed as if she was never damaged. Her body had combusted into flames, leaving only ashes. Which her body manifested from. She attempted to escape Shard, battling multiple Red Lanterns, until she was taken down. While Kilowog and Saint Walker were defending the path to Guardian Space, Rhea escaped and helped destroy the fleet. For the first time, she released an extension her soul, a Phoenix. Shocked at her stilling being alive, Kilowag squeezed her in a hug. The Red Lantern invasion was thwarted.
Back on OA, Rhea and Hal reunite. Hal was surprised and shocked that Rhea was still alive despite him seeing her death. She couldn’t explain it, but she was happy they were reunited.
Rhea joins the Justice League in 2016 as A-27. While also wanting to live the normal life that her parents wanted, she then joined the United States Air Force, gaining the call sign “Pyro”. This is due to her crashing her plane in a fiery crash that she miraculously survived.
BIOPersonality:
There's usually never a dull moment with Rhea. She doesn’t like to be bored or boring to others, and will do things to spark a little fire into any situation, even if it's unintentional. She has a driving curiosity due to an inherent need to explore. She is unpredictable and hates routine. Rae hates being taken for granted. She hates limitations too. She is free-spirited person and will do anything to maintain her freedom. She works best in a dynamic and chaotic environment. Less so good at working on planned schedules.
Rhea is incredibly sarcastic and makes many sarcastic quips. She does what she wants with no regard for risks and consequences. She's cocky, confident, kind and loyal. She’s more a doer than a thinker – though she’s certainly not dumb and routinely comes up with excellent plans.
She is impulsive and has much energy to spare. Rae is strong willed and has the stamina to survive the toughest of times. She will never back out of a challenge or a fight. While she faces the challenge in the eye, she often mistakes its true nature and realizes only when things are in motion. Rhea is spontaneous and loves the adrenaline rush of the blind challenges coming her way. Due to her adaptable nature, she can overcome any challenges and can deal with unprecedented situations. She is straightforward and whatever you throw at her, she will deal with it.
She can appear impatient, restless, and unstable. The headstrong hero can become easily irritable, careless. This causes others to view her as a little too risky and reckless, but she is sharp enough to know her limits, most of the time. She understands her limits, but will not hesitate to bend or break them if someone she cares about is in danger or in a dire situation.

Thanatophobia (Loss of loved ones): If anything happened the people Rhea cares about, she shuts down. This is a main reason towards her being reckless, she would rather put herself at risk then letting someone she cares about getting hurt.
