That something is always a coincidence and cannot be done on purpose. If the happenstance is fortunate, he doesn't shoot himself or anyone. Otherwise, he accidentally moves his arm just as he was about to pull the trigger and he ends up killing someone else. Anything can happen, though its usually never fatal for Ellis himself. Unless of course he uses his power on himself, though he has never really tried it and doesn't plan on doing so anytime soon.

Ability Limitation: It only works if Felix has eye contact with his target and he can't control what said luck is going to do. Read above

Reason for Joining: He just got lucky. But no, for real, he just really needed a reason to keep living; a purpose in life. So he joined

Personality:

Ellis is a soft spoken and rather blunt person who likes to get business done as quickly as possible. That said, he isn’t much of a team player as he usually gets ahead of everyone whenever he’s put in a group. It isn’t because he’s aloof or a loner though. It’s mostly because he’s paranoid and a total nervous wreck around other people, especially if he doesn’t know them very well. He’s constantly worrying about whether or not he’s doing things right or if he’s not getting in anyone’s way whenever he’s working with a group. He also doesn’t trust others too easily, so woohoo for his social skills. With all that in mind, he doesn't think much of himself and has quite a lot of self confidence issues which people usually mistake for humility.

Despite his mistrust for others, Ellis is still capable of recognizing authority figure/s and will do anything he can to get on the good side of said authority. This doesn’t really make him a doormat though, as he’ll refuse any request that he deems unnecessary or a waste of time. Once he's spent enough time with said authority figure/s, he'll learn to trust them wholeheartedly and remain loyal for the rest of his life.

And while he may be a nervous wreck, he will do everything in his power not to let that get to him during missions. He's very capable and rather cold blooded in the battlefield. He likes clean cut and precise assassinations and will not stand for any screw ups or messy kills.

History:

Years in the past, Ellis was the youngest son of the Garrott family, a wealthy group that owned several casinos around London. One night at a grand party of sorts, a rival family that had been targeting the Garrotts for a while now caught them off guard and attacked. The rival family then proceeded to massacre the partygoers, determined to kill off every single person from the Garrott bloodline; and they did… almost. There was a lone survivor and his name was Felix Garrott, who, at that time, was lucky enough to pick that fateful night to run off on his own, obliviously roaming parks and playing with stray cats. By the time he got back to the estate, the rival family was long gone and all that greeted him was the stench of blood and the sight of his only home burning to the ground.

With nowhere to go and no one to turn to, the boy had no choice but to live in the harsh streets of modern day London. It was difficult at first as he was never quite the fighter, but he eventually learned to fend for himself and even managed to get into a small street gang. There, he learned how to steal to get by and was even taught how to wield throwing knives and other small blades. It was around this time Ellis’ ability began to reveal itself. He started by winning at some casual gambling in the back alleys and soon escalated to trying out his luck at casinos. The boy relied on gambling to pay for his meals and after some time, he had enough money to last him a couple years or so. Years later, Ellis moved to Italy and joined a smalltime mafia as one of their hit men. All was well again, though this newfound peace was short lived.

His luck be damned, the family he had worked for made some enemies and things began to go to hell from there. Their headquarters were ambushed one night and a shootout took place, and this time Ellis wasn’t lucky enough to avoid the fray. He had no choice but to retreat as the Don he’d been working for then eventually had his brains shot out. For the second time in his life, he had nowhere to go and no one to turn to. Stranded in relatively unfamiliar territory and in hiding from the bigger mafia groups, the young man had to resort to living in the streets yet again. Rather broken up from losing his family for a second time, he roamed the streets aimlessly, slowly losing interest in keeping himself alive.

One night, while Ellis was nearly starving to death, he stumbled upon a little shop hidden deep within the alleyways. There was something about the shop that lured him in and soon he found himself making his way inside it. Basically after a series of near death conversations and what have you, he got into Il Futuro as one of their best assassins since that's really the only thing he's ever good at [without using his ability anyway].

*Marco Salvatore: "He's a pretty interesting guy. He's got a lovely garden and greenhouse full of different plants and flowers, though I'm not too keen on the insects living there... Overall he's a nice dude. I've no problems with him, and his shadow summons are kinda cute..."

*August Shapiro: "He's giving me lessons on social interactions. The first lesson involved me wearing a dress in public, so I fear the rest of his lessons..."

*Celeste Beaumont: "A rather pretty lady.. but she kinda made me hyperventilate at some point, so I've been trying not to get too close to her ever since..."
