A pencil drawing of Amy Lee from the band Evanescence. I absolutly love this band and their music. What I loved about this picture, and why I wanted to draw it, was mainly the eyes and the hair. Completed this one pretty quickly (over the course of a week on and off during school). Really happy with how it turned out! Done with the normal pencil.Related content

I dunno...I think it might be TOO dark. I mean, it's different from what you usually do in that you changed the contrast, but I don't like the grey vs black instead of white vs black. And maybe add some more shading onto her forehead. It looks too...empty.

Hmm, really? Well, it was the hair. She had very black hair and it had to look like that. Besides, gothic-ish drawings have to have that really dark black in my opinion. I do get what you're saying on the grey instead of white. Why that happened is because I don't have Paint Shop Pro. Damn free trial thingy ran out. Soooo, I had to adjust the contrast on the normal paint program thingy and that just doesn't keep the white white. Forehead wise, it's white in the picture. Her face in general should be very white to contrast the black hair and make-up around the eyes again going back to the gothic ghost like appearance she's got going here..... wow, that was a long response.
