I really would've preferred this ending to the one we got. Hinata is a nice character and all but she wasn't really fleshed out throughout the series. Then she was just there and Naruto loved her....Didn't sit well with me. Sakura had plenty of character building and was with Naruto more often. Not to mention I don't like the idea of her marrying some one who tried on multiple occasions to kill her. ^^' just my to cents. Awesome picture though, you can really feel that warm family vibe coming from it. ^^

I think both pairings are lovely in their own way (had they been developed more), but I agree with your perspective. I prefer NaruSaku

Actually, there's is plenty evidence that Kishi was aiming for NaruSaku but them fans where crying for HinaRuto to happen. There's even this pic of a pink haired girl who may have been an early version of Naruto's daughter with Sakura somewhere drawn by Kishi. Yeah. Life blows sometimes. Plus Naruto and Sakura have great chemistry. Sasuke is a lone wolf, he never should have settled down imo.

Kishimoto mentioned he was not going to make Sakura the heroine of the series at all. His editors told him to create Sakura. He also stated he intended for Naruto and Hinata to be a couple from the beginning. How the heck is beating up someone great chemistry?

Im not sure where you are coming from about Sakura being a heroine and all but... read carefully, I said Naruto and Sakura had great Chemistry. Many a time, as alluded by Sai in one of the Naruto movies, a girl can act more defensively around the guy she likes. The "beating up" was obviously humorous effect, Sakura never is depicted trying to really hurt Naruto and even regrets it early in the manga.
If I could find that image with a pink haired girl I'd show it to you.

They had no chemistry. If Kishimoto had his way she would not have been created at all so she would not have been his love interest.

Saying Naruto and Sakura had no chemistry is far from true. You don't have to be in love with someone to have chemistry with them also if you read Sakura treats Naruto differently ya she will punch him (which is meant to be comedic) but she also worries about him more then she worries anyone else. Sakura is the first person in there age group to know about Naruto being a jinchuuriki and her first reaction isn't of fear of him it's more of concerned for his well being and she scared for him because she knows that the Akatsuki are going to come for him eventually.
I've read on here a couple of times that Kishimoto was planning Naruto and Hinata to be together from the very beginning and ok if that was his goal originally why did he do such a bad job at making it seam like they had something in the beginning and continued growing it throughout the whole manga but no after Hinatas is introduced 34 chapters into manga we see her after 100 chapter or so and she faints the moment she sees Naruto and then the next time we see her interact with Naruto is her confession to him another 100+ chapter later. What I'm trying to get at is Naruto and Hinata being together isn't what makes me mad it's that they had (off the top of my head) 7 time that they really interacted with each other in the 700 chapter manga that's a 1 to 100 ratio which seem off when they were meant to be together from the beginning.

Sasuke was the first person to know about Naruto's tailed beast since he witnessed it in the Valley of the End. Naruto did not want Sakura pitying him so he walked away. They had no chemistry since she lied to him for selfish reasons instead of protecting the village.
