Okay, finally getting to the good part, the actual song these pictures draw their inspiration from. I'm not entirely happy with this though, it's missing the lightning but when I tried to add that it just looked too crowded, and it feels like a case of trying to do too much with one picture. Might start over and move this to Scraps or something. Maybe I should focus on smaller parts of the song instead. Which is also an existing plan of mine.
The series is inspired by the Dark Sorceress songs by Barathrum, which in turn were inspired by a legend at Olavinlinna (Olaf's castle). The castle has many legends, involving a walled in maiden, the black goat of the castle, secret passageways and water spirits of the black stream.
