I had been ruminating for so long on which of my favourite characters gets to be on this meme through every single entry block for 2 months, but I finally did it.

Because They're Interesting: Kitana [Mortal Kombat] | Saphentite Neikes [Monster Girl Doctor] | Hozuki [Hozuki's Coolheadedness]I was never interested in Mortal Kombat at all until I saw enough footage of one particular female Kombatant that struck me the most that I really wanted to play the games: Kitana, the majestic princess of Edenia. Compared to the likes of Chun Li, Jun Kazama (the two of which are in this list by the way that I will get to at some time) and even Jade and Sindel, Kitana served as the main reason why I got into playing several Mortal Kombat games - at least barring MK10 and 11 which are extremely stale in terms of quality, gameplay, DLC, characterisation and writing (but for the last part, MK9 is actually where the storytelling started to decay, right when I saw Scorpion unceremoniously exterminate Sub-Zero without a second thought since they do become allies in the original MK trilogy and beyond).

Since Monster Girl Doctor is the spiritual successor of Monster Musume, I know for sure that the lamia character Saphentite Neikes is an even more endearing fantasy version of Miia. She is Dr. Glenn Litbeit's nurse assistant who aids him in his quests to help the injured and infirmed within the monster community of Lindworm, be it mermaids, centaurs, golems, giants, harpies or even dragons. A bit like Miia, Saphentite has shades of romantic feelings for Glenn in her own ways, but unlike Miia, she is even on good terms with an arachne lady who works at a silk factory where she works with her fellow arachne workers.

Working in Hell wouldn't even feel more interesting without Hozuki; being the main character of his show, he is essentially your average office work type of character he takes no nonsense when at work, diligently takes orders from Lord Enma even to the point where he can torment the latter, spend free time with his friends and do his own favourite hobbies at home... in Japan's Hell where work is even harder than having to even work in Japan.

Because They're Cool: Takumi Fujiwara [Initial D] | Chun Li [Street Fighter] | Kan'u Unchou [Ikki Tousen]When many of his opponents are driving rather stylish and powerful cars, Takumi is behind the wheel of a boxy Sprinter Trueno AE86 that has more talent than it looked like it had. Even if he gets mocked for having such a car, he can still win a race to prove someone wrong. This is one spectacular protagonist from an anime centred on racing I have ever seen.

Straight from the Street Fighter franchise, there is Chun-Li, the most fabulous lady with all the graceful kicking she gives out through every game. Even after seeing her for the first time in Street Fighter IV, I only got to play as her in Marvel vs Capcom 3 where her moves easily impressed me greatly so she rightfully deserves to be in this spot and I am going to enjoy more of her in Street Fighter V, in addition to many of the sexiest outfits she would ever wear.

Kan'u Unchou is also awesome in terms of her beautiful physique, dedicated leadership over Seito High (Shu Kingdom), deep loyalty for Ryuubi Gentoki and her other colleagues / friends and amazing skills in physical combat and her Guan Dao. I even favour her more than Sonsaku Hakufu, but not a bit as much as Seito's lady of war.

Because Their Characters Make Sense: Shinra Kusakabe [Fire Force] | Iruma Suzuki [Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun]Fire Force contains a lot of intriguing characters and even Shinra makes up for being a proper anime protagonist, especially in a post-apocalypse world. He has aspirations for saving people from Spontaneous Human Combustion as a member of the Special Fire Force Company long after his family sans his young brother Shou got burnt alive in their burning house. As Shinra is dedicated to becoming a real hero, he also needs to take his brother back from the evil clutches of the White Clad.

Iruma Suzuki is very much like Izuku Midoriya if he is in a supernatural world where he must build up his current standing with the rest of the superpowered populace, but that does not even mean his parents would always treat him right unlike his closest friends and foster grandfather did. As his schooldays at Babyls goes on, he gains more respect from his demonic peers from the Abnormal Class, several other classes and even the student council. He may not be the best when it comes to going on the offensive, but he always literally gets out of harm's way when it comes for him.

Because They Have Flaws: Wei Shen [Sleeping Dogs] | Jimmy Hopkins [Bully] | Johnny Silverhand [Cyberpunk 2077]What makes Wei Shen an unforgettable protagonist is how he handles himself on both sides of organised crime and the law; he went undercover as a member of the Sun On Yee in Hong Kong through HKPD jurisdiction as he liberally does what he thinks an ideal Hongkongese triad member must do, mostly on lines of violence and loyalty. Not only that, but he is a bit unaware of the corruption that is also seething within Hong Kong's police department until later on in the storyline where he grew disgruntled with his superintendent Pendrew. But what else is great about Wei is he knows how much Hong Kong means to him as a place he felt as his true home since childhood.

Whilst I am going to talk about Jimmy Hopkins from the unknown game Bully, I would like to remind you that this is one Rockstar Games character who even deserves to be listed here since he is a fully fledged antihero unlike any GTA protagonist who are either villainous entirely or antivillainous for the best reasons. A game like Bully that is set in a school is never legendary without such a protagonist like Jimmy; when he got dropped off at Bullworth Academy after 7 expulsions for a bad track record of delinquent behaviour, he is given one last chance to "keep his nose clean" or he will likely end up in juvenile detention but as time goes on, he quickly learns how to subjugate every clique in Bullworth and provide order on his own terms which is often done by beating down those who target the weak or try to act tough. Jimmy is truly an outstanding Rockstar Games character that plenty of Bully fans recognise.

My relationship with Cyberpunk 2077 has been like an psychotically abusive relationship that has now gone completely resolved peacefully without any need for therapy ever since Rockstar Games, which is now a shadow of its former self since GTA Online (I'm not even saying Red Dead Online should get a mention here since the former's controversies have flared more significantly over 8 years), had even launched GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition at such a disastrous rate that is even worse than how CP2077 turned out to be since 10th December 2020 and even the patches for the former game still has not done it any more justice after a lot of bugs were actually fixed. Even during all of that, I still admired Mike Pondsmith's creativity and CD Projekt Red's most creative people that made great scripts for sidequests, designed many beautiful characters, vehicles, landscapes, logos, artworks and many other bits and pieces. Speaking of characters, I still enjoyed Johnny Silverhand: much like how I viewed Barrett Wallace, I do not wholly follow his grudge against Arasaka even if they did some things that are beyond questionable, but I totally understand his past with his mates in Night City.

Because of Their Beliefs: Connor Kenway [Assassin's Creed III] | Benimaru Shinmon [Fire Force]In this entry, I cover two male powerful characters who I mostly recognise for their patriotic ideals outside of the major communities in a nation they reside within and have intentions of putting their people first.

Out of all the Assassin's Creed protagonists including Ezio, Connor Kenway is by far the most unbelievably flawless Assassin due to not just his physical strength, determination level, goals for justice and revenge and good years of training is how he desires the civil liberties of his fellow Mohawk people from both British colonisation and American governance. Ever since his mother died in their burning village, Connor decided to search for and attempt to reconcile with his father, Haytham, who founded the Colonial division of Templars and aid the Continental Army against British influence over the American Colonies but he only did it out of support for everyone's personal freedoms including his own for the Mohawk nation. Connor truly is the greatest of all Assassin's Creed protagonists in my opinion.

When the Special Fire Force is made up of 8 companies, the last two companies have even the most intriguing members and are their own bosses unlike the other 6 Companies, that is where Benimaru Shinmon is concerned. Benimaru-sensei carries a strong sense of nationalism for his country to the point that he strictly opposes the rule of the Holy Sol Temple and the White-Clad themselves and would rather focus on carrying out his own agenda and work alone. Even so, he is close friends with Company 8's leader Akitaru Obi and did not hesitate to aid them in battle against the Infernal and Evangelist threats that first attacked his native Asakusa district within the Tokyo Empire. He has a great code of honour he shares with every Asakusa resident and his peers from Companies 7 and 8. Also, he is not called Asakusa's "King of Destruction" for nothing especially when he does not hold back on his impressively dangerous abilities even during training sessions he hosts against Shinra and Arthur.

Because of Subtext: Velvet Crowe [Tales of Berseria] | Amelie Azazel [Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun]Tales of Berseria would not be what I call such a flawless JRPG if it were not for Velvet Crowe who had an unbelievably epic backstory filled with a lot of horror, might and emotions. When the story started, Velvet's life used to be full of joy and peace until her young brother Laphicet got sacrificed by her brother-in-law Artorius Collbrande in order to complete the 2nd Scarlet Night ritual to save the world from daemonblight, resulting in Velvet having her left arm filled with absorbed daemons that nested within it. After she broke free from Titania, Velvet is dead set on exacting revenge on Artorius and nothing else, long until much later in the game where she plays a motherly role in her team of misfits including the ex-Abbey member Eleanor Hume whom she was a sworn enemy of at first encounter but managed to warm up to her. Velvet is still extremely unforgettable to me as a beautifully written Tales protagonist.

I could never even get enough of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun since I enjoyed much of seeing Iruma Suzuki having the time of his life at his new school, but it even got better when he meets the Student Council president Amelie Azazel, who became very invested in him when she eventually got to the conclusion that he is human. What motivates Amelie to learn more about human nature is basically how they communicate with their own language, which is only best shown whenever she reads her secret collection of romantic manga that she keeps feeling "cursed" over... in a fascinating way that anyone could react to, which is quite cute when I see it happen to Amelie. Aside from that, the fact that Amelie is incredibly strict and stoic when it comes to taking her role seriously as Babyls' Student Council president whilst keeping her sweet nature under that really intrigues me a lot about her, which makes her such a brilliant character.

Because They're Smart: Sam [Totally Spies!] | Red Guy [Don't Hug Me, I'm Scared]Whilst Clover is the beauty and Alex is the brawn, Sam is the brain of the girly spy trio of W.O.O.H.P. Sam knows more about gadgetry and strategy and possesses even a better fashion sense given that most of her green clothing fits her red hair perfectly.

Red Guy is the only sane man in a strange world that he does not understand but gets more suspicious about it by every episode, as he realised it is all just a simulation organised by Yellow Guy's sadistic father who intentionally psychologically tortured his own son only because Roy went through the same amount of trauma that his son had went through. Following this, he guided Red Guy to the plug that actually ended the entire simulation where he, Duck Guy (who can even be revived in the next life after Roy went so far to have him brutally murdered) and Yellow Guy can start fresh in their house.

Because He's Misunderstood: Legosi [Beastars]Legosi is somebody anyone can relate to in varying degrees given his sympathetic backstory as a lonely carnivore who gets often looked down by many herbivores for being a large wolf that has great strength within him, leading to him feeling unconfident about his natural instincts and abilities. But during his days at Cherryton Academy, he does get some friends from both his dormitory and the Drama Club, in addition to that he even managed to befriend Haru the promiscuous white Netherlands dwarf rabbit that wants everyone to see her as an individual. Despite Legosi being admittedly awkward around girls, he does develop loving feelings for Haru as well as improve his standing, confidence with his instincts and diving into a dangerous world at the right time if he really needs to exact justice on his own terms.

Because They're Well-Done Archetypes: Gintoki Sakata [Gintama] | Tom Anderson [Beavis & Butthead] | Magilou [Tales of Berseria] | Blanc [Hyperdimension Neptunia]Shonen Jump has a large roster of character archetypes; One Piece has varied types of pirates, Naruto had ninja of any kind, Dragon Ball Z has different types of aliens and martial arts, Gintama has three of these things but parodied to greater levels that not even South Park could possibly do (even though that show did manage to effectively satirise the nature of RPGs, superheroes and anime themes since Trey & Matt are big anime otaku themselves). Gintoki Sakata himself is the main hero -- the SHONEN hero -- and he is by far the funnest and funniest man to have around in Edo.

Tom Anderson is just your average day friendly old man neighbour who has his fair share of antics involving the titular protagonists of Beavis & Butthead, whether it is having his garden vandalised or savings stolen. Bonus points to Mike Judge for providing him with the Hank Hill voice.

Magilou is palpably a harlequin character, but she is not quite annoying like several other examples. She is also more of a hyperenergetic one who hides a jaded and miserable perspective on the world that she had faced for many years since her father abused her a lot. I could not deny she is utterly bonkers but makes up for her good use of magic and parlour tricks she learns from her books... that are attached to her skirt.

Besides Blanc being the personification of the Nintendo Wii along with the land Lowee that she holds jurisdiction over as its CPU goddess, she is widely known by her people to have the rudest mouth. That sounds bad enough, but she is also the angriest of all CPUs. So, Hyperdimension Neptunia is a videogame series that is loosely based on videogame consoles that are represented as different regions of a virtual world and gods rule over them and one of them swears and rages so much whenever anything upsets or offends her so easily that she can potentially smash anything or someone up in sight. She is an abusive ruler archetype done right. Not just that, but she is very much an envisionment of every known worse Let's Player in existence such as DarksydePhil, Low Tier God and Michael Jones of Rooster Teeth infamy. We could not have had better videogame-themed entertainment if it was not for Idea Factory and Compile Heart.

Because They're Amiable: Judith [Tales of Vesperia] | Sawako Kuronuma [Kimi Ni Todoke] | Kotomi Ichinose [Clannad]Judith, Sawako and Kotomi all have the highest levels of charisma that felt pure and alluring to me that I even fell in love with the first character, who is from one of Final Fantasy's extremely well-recognised installations. For anyone's information, I only got into FFVII when I eventually heard about its remake that I got my hands on -- that and Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition where Judith is concerned. As for Judith, she is very much in the same league as the whole Berseria party and everyone else in Brave Vesperia apart from Karol. Judith is a real tease towards the likes of Yuri Lowell, Raven and even Rita Mordio. She really does have some nice moves with a lance and has no sense of modesty about her skimpiness which she admires about herself.

Sawako Kuronuma and Kotomi Ichinose are both incredibly introverted shy girls who have a lot of trouble communicating with others, but in Kotomi's case, she is the most studious of Tomoya's platonic harem. In addition to having Mamiko Noto as their voice actress, these two girls always entertain me the most with their kindest personalities and tragic backstories that make me sympathise with them deeply.

Because He Subverts a Despised Cliche: Chairman Kurihara [Prison School]If there is one character that made the perverted teacher and sinister headmaster tropes both right, it is... Chairman Kurihara. Despite running a girls-only high school that now allows boys to enroll which currently only has 5 male students, Kurihara seems to have a great eye on the male students who have to endure harsher punishments from Meiko Shiraki, Hana Midorikawa and his daughter Mari, who is very misandrist since she discovered her father's secret stash of Brazilian women's... buttocks. Mr. Kurihara even admires the five boys, especially when they successfully exploited their female enforcers for unfairly trying to expel... them.

Because of Their Dedication: Tomoe [Queen's Blade] | Nicholas Angel [Hot Fuzz]Tomoe is the resident Musha Miko of Queen's Blade who I strongly adore not just for her refined physique, sex appeal and amiable personality, but she carries a strong warrior code and sense of patriotism for her country Hinomoto that is in political turmoil under a corrupt administration that has direct ties with the Swamp Witch who later cursed Tomoe with eternal blindness which did not even deteriorate her swordsmanship nor even her magical prowess, as well as dealing with all the other horrible hardships she had to face in her life. She is truly one of the Queen's Blade protagonists I absolutely love the most compared to Leina and Risty.

When working too hard in the London Met Police, Nicholas Angel learns to improve his pace when he got relocated to a Yorkshire town where there has been a mysterious series of "accidental" deaths occurring at different days with the help of his new misfit colleagues who will gather up pieces of clues about whether the "accidents" may be connected or not, which actually becomes true for the former. Thanks to Simon Pegg's flawless performance, Nicholas Angel seriously has the makings of a proper British hero in the name of true justice.

Because I Can Relate: Fafnir [Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid] | Eizen [Tales series] | Moriko Morioka [Remedy of an MMO Junkie]Here are three characters that are very much my personal spirit animals.

Fafnir and I are of several exact things: he is to "handsome" as Lucoa is to "lovely", plays games, tends to wear dark clothing, goes to outdoor markets where there is lots of amazing perishables and favour darkness.

As I played through Tales of Berseria for so long, Eizen is by far the biggest I could consider my first spirit animal given his extensive knowledge, unusual habits of deciding where to go, series of misfortunes and hardships of his own, good relationship with his young sister, stoic demeanour and great looks too. One thing that makes us different is I can cook better unlike him, thanks to his Reaper's Curse.

Personalities aside, Moriko and I are both jobless (but I will be getting one at some point in the future) gamers that are inbetween DLC and services for certain games mostly MMORPGs and eating out somewhere at a shop or food stand in town with our money.

Because He Has Redeemable Qualities: Roy Revant [Solty Rei]Roy Revant is one hardboiled bounty hunter in a futuristic city where an Aurora prevents time travel. He used to be a policeman who takes greater measures to curb the criminal underworld, but when his daughter Rose was murdered, he became extremely jaded and even more violent against criminals he seeks to earn his bounties. However, he quickly warmed up over time when he met Solty, a Genuine Resemble who is quite fond of Roy who adopted her after Rose's demise.

Because They Make Me Laugh: Crescent [Funny Pets] | Beavis & Butthead | Jay & Silent Bob [View Asknewniverse]After being introduced to the insane 2002 computer-animated Japanese kids show that is Funny Pets, which was made by the Matsuda couple Ryuji and Wakako who also made Popee the Performer and Mr. Stain, by Saberspark, I really got into the show and its disturbing yet hilarious content. One character that gave me the most laughs is Crescent, the mischievous and aloof older brother of the sunny-natured Corona, who spends most of his time trying to win his owner Funny's attention which often goes horribly wrong. Sometimes, the absolute idiocy of both Funny and Corona can be a bit painful that it makes me wish for Crescent to finally earn what he wants; he is very much like the Wario of his own show.

These two extremely dumb boys always give me such a great laugh whenever they go around causing trouble, trying to score with girls and get something out of their own gains and playing pranks. They are primarily the most classic comedy duo out of any mature American cartoon any intelligent person like myself could find in history.

Ever since Mallrats and Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob have truly been amazing with their comedic value when it mostly comes to being politcally incorrect at the highest level and having the most insane adventures of their own. I did not even care much for the reboot, honestly, in case anyone is wondering.

Because They're Polite: Chou'un Shiryuu [Ikki Tousen] | Ix Elizabeta [Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun]If you are wondering who Seito High's lady of war is, it is Chou'un Shiryuu, whose tranquil, honourable and kind nature always keeps me most invested in her; despite how she looks when fighting with her sword, she is opposed to killing her opponents and intends to fight fair and she even respects Sonsaku Hakufu's ideals of enjoying a great fight and making friends with her opponents who'll take their losses gracefully.

Ix Elizabeta is the most refined member of Babyls' Abnormal Class. In spite of her lustful appearance, she does have a motherly attitude towards her fellow classmates and would not be even above enjoying their antics.

Because They're Honest: Rachnera Arachnera [Monster Musume] | Siora [GreedFall] | Mr. Galloway [Bully]In a society where monsters are accepted, even a scary-looking arachne (half-spider, half-human) like Rachnera Arachnera shows plenty of honesty about how she views everyone; after accidentally harming her first host whose family had to evict her and having faced both exploitation and constant abuse from the con-artist Kasegi, she harboured a deep hatred of humans for their general unfaithfulness until she encountered Kimihito Kurusu who she greatly appreciated for being brave at meeting her despite how she appears and even complimenting her legs shortly before moving into her new household where she meets the other monster girls Kimihito accepted, where Rachnera gets to enjoy her own antics with the girls.

Siora is by far one of the most powerfully influential party members in GreedFall; not only is she very studious about the cultural differences between her people and the nations of the Congregation of Merchants, Theleme and the Bridge Alliance, but she is very clear with her words when it comes to representing the royalty of the Red Spears clan as the princess, being helpful with giving alternative directions to proceed with current objectives and expressing her true personal feelings for my Sir De Sardet character had I said the correct things in every romance dialogue tree. She is also free to even voice her anger if there are certain political bloodsports she outright opposes, like when the fundamental Thelemé priest Father Aloysius burns alive a defenceless Guardian creature on a cross and kills a harmless Native villager for being a "savage", but is not subjective in her own opinions towards certain things like fighting Native supremacists that want to drive out the "renaigsé" settlers for colonising parts of Tír Fradí.

Bullworth Academy is ruled mainly by teachers that are either authoritarian or just insane, but the same cannot be said for English teacher Mr. Galloway and his love interest Ms. Philips the art teacher. Galloway is a benevolent teacher who treats his pupils well, but whenever he feels stressed out with pressures of his hard work, he drinks just to keep himself cool but when the evil maths teacher Mr. Hattrick keeps abusing his power over him just for that, it pushed Galloway over the edge that he got too addicted to alcohol but that did not even stop him from requesting a good but not nice student like Jimmy Hopkins to help resolve his problems.

Because They Put Others First: Broken Nose Jiang [Sleeping Dogs] | Yami Sukehiro [Black Clover]Among the most influential Triad leaders in Hong Kong, Broken Nose Jiang is the most pragmatic chairwoman of the Sun On Yee who ensures order is totally intact within the group's sets and makes herself very useful for Wei Shen especially when disaster strikes between the Sun On Yee and 14K.

Yami Sukehiro holds a great fatherly instinct towards his young comrades of the Black Bulls, the very Magic Knights guild that appears to be the absolute worst of all Magic Knights guilds due to how absurd and poorly looked upon in the highest pasts of society they are, especially Asta, Magna and even the royal Noelle Silva. Even judging by his Eastern origins, Yami truly holds a code of honour when it comes to taking the battlefield in his hands and would usually command his allies like the non-magic five-leaf clover grimoire bearing Asta to go all out against their foes just to earn their daily stars. When the Black Bulls has its menagerie of very bizarre characters, Yami is a perfect discount samurai in terms of being appointed with the magical community.

Because They're Attractive: Lucoa [Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid] | Jun Kazama [Tekken] | Tionishia [Monster Musume] | Rias Gremory [Highschool DxD]Because of my unique tastes in women, I have played enough games and watched enough anime to witness the everlasting allure of many of my favourite female characters, but the four examples I picked that make up for being goddesses of the Venusian form are Lucoa, Jun Kazama, Tionishia and Rias Gremory. Alcina Dimitrescu would have been part of this entry but that was for the villainous version of this character meme that I already completed weeks ago. There is not much difference between them in terms of their beautiful looks, but what is different about them are their personalities, bust and buttock sizes, vocal ranges, body heights and abilities of their own.

Because She's Responsible: Ruby Tojo [Rosario + Vampire]Beside her occasional masochistic nature, as much as she does a perfect job as a witch, Ruby Tojo is also incredibly skilled at her new profession as one of the representatives of Youkai Academy where she is able to make contact with the powerful headmaster who oversees any evil activities going on within and outside of Youkai grounds and provides extra aid for her friends Tsukune, Moka, Kurumu, Mizore, Yukari and Kokoa.

Because They're Leaders: Sir Topham Hatt [Thomas & Friends] | Giorno Giovanna [JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Venuo Aureo] | Soichiro Takagi [Highschool of the Dead] | Dunncas [GreedFall]Thomas & Friends (prior to the dis... dis... DISAPPOINTINGLY DEGRADABLE new season that is "Big World! Big Adventures!" anyway) could not be any more phenomenal without The Fat Controller himself, Sir Topham Hatt, who is the most beneficial entrepreneur in all of Sodor that always keeps his steam engines in check and ensuring they do their jobs very well. Even if he does get harsh in criticising their poor performances, he still has a great heart and easily lets mistakes go past him, even his own.

As DIO's illegitimate son, Giorno Giovanna has large aspirations for joining Passione and becoming the legendary "Gang-Star", which he does spectacularly with his colleagues who have equally amazing Stands of their own.

Soichiro Takagi is the leader of Japan's nationalist party, the father of Saya and the sworn political enemy of Koichi Shido's father who he publically exposed for his corruption. Soichiro shows plenty of true aspects as an honourable leader of Japan that genuinely cares for his people that are constantly in danger from a zombie apocalypse and needed safety. He even condemned Koichi back to the wastelands when he attempted to corrupt Saya's moral ground by convincing her to kill him just for all the things he did to make her school life hell.

Through my 2nd playthrough of GreedFall after having made the worst decision to trust Deirdre the leader of Native extremists that want to kick out the continental settlers of the Congregation of Merchants, the Bridge Alliance and Theleme, I made the perfect decision to trust Dunncas with his promises for a peaceful cooperation with those three nations of "the Continent" to put an end to the Malichor pandemic with the help of the magic of Tir Fradi. He is the only one of the three candidates for the new monarch of Tir Fradi's native populace who can keep the best interests at heart and is very honest in providing stable political power.

Because They're Crazy in a Good Way: Jack Hackett [Father Ted] | Nan Taylor [The Catherine Tate Show] | Goro Majima [Yakuza] | Vyvyan Basterd [The Young Ones]In the Craggy Island Parochial House where there is plenty of craziness to be had in Father Ted with the main cast, Father Jack Hackett is one priest that provides the most craziness out of them with his usual pervertedness, alcoholism and inane speech patterns. If you try to confiscate his liquor, he will beat you down for it enough to be sent to the hospital.

Nan Taylor is another good stereotype of crazy old folks that have no time for being polite with their younger relatives or peers. She is by far the most politically incorrect character in The Catherine Tate Show given her surprisingly foul-mouthed temper, brutal level of trolling and lack of manners.

Goro Majima's personal level of insanity is just a facade he uses as his iron will to successfully cope with the tougher levels of the yakuza business, but it still counts here technically given he is able to form his own businesses under his family's jurisdiction after Futoshi Shimano's gratifying death in the first game, especially his most prestigious construction firm that is dedicated to keeping undignifying characters out of sight in Kamurocho and Sotenbori that would thwart Majima Construction's progress of work.

True to his name, Vyvyan is an extremely chaotic metalhead that shares a student house with a depressive hippie named Neil who often makes lentil soup for tea, a screaming leftist People's Poet anarchist played by the late Rik Mayal and the Straight Man yuppie Mike who has his good days at work in high-rise business. Vyvyan does more raging than Rick as well as getting into violent debates with him, mindlessly smashes parts of the house and even animals including his Glaswegian hamster SPG (Special Patrol Group, just don't ask about the name) that lurk within it and even treating Mike with respect unlike how he mistreats Neil and Rick. Vyvyan is one character I will favourably remember about Adrian Edmondson, him and the main character from the Danish animated dark comedy film Terkel in Trouble.

Because They're Good Companions: Kirara [Inuyasha] | Odanna [Kakuriyo] | Jet Black [Cowboy Bebop] | Issun [Okami]I cannot really say much about Kirara, Odanna, Jet Black and Issun given how much I know they treat their friendly acquaintances Sango, Aoi Tsubaki, Spike Spiegel and the white wolf sun goddess of Nippon Amaterasu so dearly.

Because They're Good Relatives: Sullivan [Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun] | Yakumo Tsukamoto [School Rumble] | Tanjiro Kamado [Demon Slayer]Sullivan is the very source of what made me start wanting to enjoy more of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun; he is an ancient demon lord who was summoned by Iruma's selfish parents to buy him from them. Surely, that could have ended horribly for Iruma, but LUCKILY for him, Sullivan actually wanted a child of his own -- not even minding the fact that Iruma is human -- that he could always spoil to bits and treat him like a real prince. Even better, Sullivan is the headmaster of Babyls Demon School so he immediately enrolled Iruma there, so I am definitely sure everything will go well for him there too.

Yakumo is the calmest and meekest of the entire School Rumble cast who is the mature young sister of the energetic Tenma. Not much to say about her, I just love how much she cares for both Tenma and Kenji Harima.

Tanjiro Kamado is a teenage boy who used to burn coal at the age of 13 until his whole family was killed by a demon which caused Tanjiro's young sister Nezuko to turn into a demon, causing Tanjiro to develop his main goal to find a solution to return her back to humanity and kill demons that intentionally murder humans for either their blood or out of entertainment, in addition to killing Muzan Kibutsuji, the leader of the Twelve Kizuka Demons. Throughout his career as a Demon Slayer, he gains many powerful allies and friends who have their fair shares of hardships and unusual quirks about themselves.

Because She Feels Human: Moka Akashiya [Rosario + Vampire]I am only going to speak centrally about "Inner Moka" since she is the true Moka Akashiya that got sent by her mother to enrol at Youkai Academy and "Outer Moka" was just an alter-ego created by Moka's mother in order to keep the true Moka sealed within the Rosario due to Moka's incredible abilities and her reputation as "the most powerful of all beings". As one of the Akashiya-Shuzen sisters, Moka has plenty of finer aspects as part of her initial personality that any emotionally powerful human has; she is not only the strongest of all vampires, but also vigilant, stoic, good, pretty, studious and sometimes lively but her Outer self is even more lively. This is purely evident in the manga versions where she gradually became more open with her emotions, mostly regarding Tsukune Aono and her family.

Because He Learns From Mistakes: Takayuki Yagami [Judgment]I venerate Takayuki Yagami as someone who managed to make up for a shocking scandal that destroyed his reputation as a successful lawyer who acquitted someone who later got arrested for supposedly committing arson and murdering his girlfriend which Takayuki suspected that the man may be used as a scapegoat for a cover up. Takayuki starts over by running his own private investigation office in Kamurocho where he accepts his own clients' requests to solve their cases as well as uncovering a massive series of murders caused by "The Mole" and a corruption ring within the A.D.D.C. that is trying to develop a cure for Alzheimer's Disease.

Because I Strongly Pity Them: Louis [Beastars] | Mizore Shirayuki [Rosario + Vampire]As someone who feels a bit unhuman with his post-operation (even when it was successful) scoliosis, shortsightedness and even autism, I strongly feel for Louis: he is part of one of the herbivore species that are frequent victims to trafficking where they are catalogued as the carnivore's next meal and because of his overall physical weaknesses, he absolutely hates himself for it to the point that he does not accept anybody labelling him as a herbivore and wants to fit in with the higher ups of Cherryton's Shishigumi that are literally on top of the food chain just to toughen himself up and become another most influential leader in the criminal underworld.

Mizore Shirayuki is a socially awkward yuki-onna who was constantly on her own until she got infatuated with Tsukune's newspaper publications that she fell in love with and stalked him throughout the series, but tragically for her, not even two seasons carries on without her getting sexually harassed or raped by an evil youkai and attempting suicide out of shame but best of all, she gets the finest company from not only Tsukune himself, but Moka, Kurumu - who she has an icy love rivalry with and to a lesser extent Ruby, Yukari and Kokoa.

Because They're Creative: Wallace [Wallace & Gromit] | Rodney Copperbottom [Robots]Both Wallace and Rodney Copperbottom have their grandest ideas for crafting their own unique inventions and repairing broken mechanisms without fail as well as displaying their great senses of charm and having their own big heroic adventures.

Because They're Rebellious: Yuri Lowell [Tales of Vesperia] | Jotaro Kujo [JoJo's Bizarre Adventure]Velvet Crowe, Eizen, Magilou and Rokurou Rangetsu are among my list of favourite antiheroes from one of the greatest Tales games, but Yuri Lowell and the aforementioned Judith make it on that list. Unlike other Tales antiheroes, Yuri's main intention is to exact justice on his own terms since the local councils of multiple towns across Terca Lumireis including his home city Zaphias which is brewing with a heavy rate of classism under a strict hierarchal system. Beyond disgruntled with the complacency of certain jurisdictions that dismiss the most dishonest powerful figures, Yuri takes it upon himself to assassinate them through his own vigilante actions. This is what I call a true saviour of a corrupt world.

Jotaro Kujo is one JoJo I truly idolise the most even above Joseph Joestar and Giorno Giovanna given his hardened lifestyle and great use of strategy ever since he learnt a lot of things from Columbo. Even his Star Platinum is real crazy with his insta-fire punches that Eizen's can possibly match.

Because He Has Potential: Joe Baker [Resident Evil 7: Biohazard]Joe Baker is the only Resident Evil character I loved for being the strongest there is straight from one of Biohazard's DLC chapters; since he is the only sane member of the Mold-infested Baker family who has been living in the swamps for years, he always has time to work out and enjoy quality time with his family, but when his now mutated brother Jack kidnaps his niece Zoe, he does his damnedest to survive until he can finally put Jack out of his misery for good as he eats harmless insects to sustain his health, crush his Molded human enemies to death with his massively muscular arms and boots and destroy mutated alligators.

Because of Their Roles in the Groups: Ayame Kajou [Shimoneta] | Shinpachi Shimura [Gintama] | Sean Devlin [The Saboteur]In a world where offensive jokes and referring to anything sexual-related even when on medical terms are permanently outlawed by moral fear running in the veins of a government, Ayame Kajou plays the revolutionary part so well as she tosses away the need for modesty under the white blankets of Blue Snow. If only the real world had such legendary heroes like her given that cancel culture is incredulously rampant in beginning of the 2020s.

Because Gintama is filled with endless gags and epic action sequences, Shinpachi Shimura plays the part of the everyman in the entire cast rather than just the Odd Jobs trio where he tags along with Gintoki Sakata and Kagura in both their free time and their quests. I always enjoy watching him react to all the random nonsense that would unexpectedly happen in the most absurd times, but when things get so serious, he is not exempt from being one of the most dedicated fighters.

Now to talk about Pandemic Studios' most underappreciated game The Saboteur: here, I reveal the protagonist Sean Devlin, the Irish race car mechanic that joined a group of French revolutionaries who intend to overthrow the Nazi occupation of Paris and its surrounding regions. Everything about Sean is amazing: his wide arsenal of weapons including car bombs and boxing techniques, driving skills, parkour, infiltration techniques and methods of sabotaging Nazi equipment and installations.

Because They Appearl to a Demographic: Tutankhensetamun [Tutenstein] | Thomas [Thomas & Friends]Tutankhensetamun is one character that everyone with an interest in Egyptian history and mythology should surely love and he does have plenty of great adventures around one of New York's famous museums with young Cleo Carter who discovered his resurrection thanks to the Sceptre of Was.

Here is another one of my most prolific childhood icons whose adventures are even filled with some mature-themed morals which helped respect the intelligence of younger viewers. What is so great about Thomas the Tank Engine is he does not just appeal to trainspotters, but also the autistic community and even Japanese people to the point where a franchise theme park dedicated to the series is based somewhere in Mount Fuji.

Because They're Satires / Spoofs: King Arthur [King Arthur's Disasters] | The main cast of Gabriel DropOut | Ichiko Sakura [Good Luck Girl!]For a more simpler description about these characters apart from King Arthur who is already obvious enough to explain given his own misadventures to please his beloved Guinevere whose brain has far less air than an empty tissue box: the main protagonists of Gabriel DropOut are essentially two angels - Gabriel Tenma White and Raphiel Shiraha Ainsworth - and two devils - Vignette Tsukinose April and Satanichia Kurumizawa McDowell - who are very bad at their roles they are given. Moreso, they are basically the lightest parody of the shojo character archetypes, with Raphiel being an obvious rich girl character that trolls others. Speaking of which, there is the protagonist of Good Luck Girl!, Ichiko Sakura, who is a very spoilt rich girl that possesses maximum fortune in her power.

Because They're Charming: Fil Nirvalen [No Game No Life] | Elias Ainsworth [The Ancient Magus Bride] | Gordon [Thomas & Friends]Fil is an elf who has no intentions of helping her own people to the point where she humorously could not care less if they die for being "stuck up" and instead be forever loving towards her human slave-turned-friend Chlammy. Being an elf with flawless beauty, she is not short of being so endearing to no end.

Being the legitimate husband of Chise Hattori long after rescuing her from a slave auction in London, Elias does a great impression on it as much as he knows a lot about the magical world.

Gordon is always entertaining to watch on Thomas & Friends given his refined background as he strictly makes pulling the express his only policy rather than playing the role of a mixed-traffic engine. Thanks to that, he is quite prideful about it but his fellow steam engines would openly ridicule him for his ego. When he gets into accidents or involved in a major mix-up, they do certainly appear UNDIGNIFYING.

Because of Those Who Hate Them: Lucy Heartfilia & Aquarius [Fairy Tail] | Haruhi SuzumiyaLucy Heartfilia and one of her powerful golden Celestial Spirits Aquarius deserve the spot here simply because of how they have been very misjudged by Fairy Tail stans. Of course, Lucy is weak when it comes to physical prowess which only the likes of Natsu, Erza, Gajeel and Pantherlily excel at, but because she possesses the 16 Celestial Spirit keys, Lucy is impressively powerful when it comes to mastering her magical abilities, mostly her summoning skills. Lucy also serves as the main party's voice of reason on the same level as Shinpachi Shimura. One of Lucy's strongest Spirits, Aquarius, is hated for semi-reasonable opinions, but the real reason behind her heavily begrudging attitude towards Lucy is because she still couldn't get over the fact that Layla, Lucy's mother, left her under Lucy's care after she died meaning that Aquarius is very devoted to Layla. What else is important to know about Aquarius is her negative personality traits loosely stemmed from that of people who are born under that sign can be rather temperamental, aloof and stubborn.

Even for some of her nasty stunts, Haruhi Suzumiya still remains one of my favourite comic relief characters in anime thanks to her usual zany exploits in uncovering certain phenomena that no average human can witness.

Because Not Enough People Like Him: Aiden Pearce [WATCH_DOGS]As much as I cherish the very first WATCH_DOGS game unlike its two successors as I vehemently consider them the most unrealistically disgraceful disasters that Ubisoft ever validated, I really loved Aiden Pearce for what he stands for and how he acts. With Chicago being the flawless setting for his horrible past and darker connections with fellow hackers and criminal masterminds, Aiden's entire story made a lot of sense for me as he is destined to be the vigilante that hides in the shadows.

Because They Have Nostalgic Value: Elwood & Jake [The Blues Brothers] | Spider-ManThe Blues Brothers has more grace when it comes to being a classic musical film filled with plenty of good laughs, amazing car chases and little history lessons on music.

Because Gold Comes Out of Their Mouths: Vince [Mongrels] | Will McKenzie [The Inbetweeners]Mongrels would not be a better British comedy classic that is chock full of furry animal puppets doing naughty things without Vince, a Cockney fox who likes to remind everyone that he is a proper predator that will beat down anyone that takes him in the wrong light. He swears a lot, but that never gets old because of what he stands for and I always loved it every time when he gets both friendly and hostile with anybody he meets on the Isle of Dogs.

Will McKenzie is the best storyteller when it comes to an absurd school life, especially when you are in 5th Year. Given his refined background, Will has difficulties fitting in with the popular norms of Rudge Park Comprehensive and outside of it where he meets three new friends who have their own antics that can often lead them to disaster. Whenever he gets into a misadventure with Jay, Simon and Neil, he is never short of exploding in their faces and telling them how much they failed in the most humorous way possible.

Because They Changed for the Better: Sesshoumaru [Inuyasha] | ShrekSesshoumaru is the pureblood demon older brother of half-bred Inuyasha, who he is extremely jealous of for being able to receive their father's heritage weapon, the Tetsusaiga. After being exterminated by Inuyasha but revived by his Tenseiga, Sesshoumaru met a young human orphan girl named Rin who is not afraid of his demonic presence and instead wants to befriend him, which Sesshoumaru did not even mind, which led to him having his willpower tested by his mother to see if he truly is worthy of wielding the power of the Tenseiga that saved his life and he succeeded by expressing empathy for Rin after unintentionally ending up having her die after making a wrong decision with his powers during his mother's harsh test. Long after enduring all the hardships he went through, especially when coming to thrashes with his brother, Sesshoumaru effectively hardened himself even more and learnt to be rather honourable and look out for his allies when on their quest to end Naraku and other evil youkai, making him a well-intentioned villain-turned-antihero in anime history.

Unlike how he was portrayed in the original storybooks, Shrek is given a more sympathetic background in the DreamWorks computer-animated film adaptation. He lives in what appears to be a fantasy world version of the real world - and yes, that does include HOLLYWOOD which is depicted as FAR... FAR... Away. Shrek is an ogre that is forced to live in isolation after being threatened and feared by many people because of his appearance, causing him to not trust everyone and be as obnoxious as he can be until he ends up having his front yard invaded by migrating fairy tale characters that escaped from Lord Farquaad's persecution, in which Shrek is determined to visit DuLoc with the help of Donkey and overthrow the dictator just to save his swamp, but in addition he even gets to know more about Princess Fiona after rescuing her from a castle surrounded by lava and learns to hold his head up at the right moment when Fiona is forced into marrying Farquaad, making him a truly nostalgic antihero that DreamWorks' front for animation ever has.

Because He Influenced Me: Kazuma Kiryu [Yakuza]Overall, there are quite a handful of my favourite characters that I personally consider my spirit animals and Kazuma Kiryu is one of them. He is another character I can easily relate to, but what is bigger than that fact is his way of life taught me so many things even if in serious hardships or trouble and when I have the opportunity to chat with women that have a good eye for me when I do not know it at first. Much like how Sonic is easily one of my fondest childhood memories since Sonic X, Kazuma Kiryu is very much what I can make up for in my mature adult years.

Because I Can: Ma Dai [Dynasty Warriors] | Jean Grey [X-Men] | Captain Britain | Husk [Hazbin Hotel]Out of all the Dynasty Warriors characters, Ma Dai takes the best form of originality because his primary weapon is a giant paintbrush that can actually cast amazing illusions of animals on enemies. That is something one certain Japanese goddess would be proud of.

Jean Grey is amongst my favourite X-Men characters, despite the fact that I have not actually seen much of the classic X-Men media throughout the years but my love for her does get hotter when I first played as her in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. I honestly think she deserves better in future games, especially when I feel she should earn her chance to survive at the end of a story without the Dark Phoenix even corrupting her soul.

Speaking of Marvel characters, Captain Britain is one character that I paid more attention to in comics starring him. Not much to say about him, but he is one of the most iconic British superhero legends next to Psylocke and Meggan.

If Hazbin Hotel ever gets new episodes coming out, then I surely hope Vivziepop can focus on improving everything, including the characters without ever retconning their stories unknowingly like she did in the spinoff Helluva Boss; one of the characters I am very fond of in the base show is the alcoholic cat gambler Husk who resides in the abandoned hotel that Charlie and her posse decided to refurnish into a haven of rehabilitation for less evil souls who had been wrongfully sent to Hell in order to curb its overpopulation crisis.
