I loved that scene too. It always seemed to me that he grabbed hold of Tetsusiaga after Sounga pretty much insulted his father.

This was an awesome scene. Sesshomaru uses Tetsusiaga and manages to withstand its barrier just long enough to fight of Inuyasha. Of course it did come with a price
