Ichigo..isn't that a girl's name? doesn't it mean strawberry? wth ??07/21/08
Okay people -____- when I first wrote the description above it was to describe what those 3 circles next to Ichigo meant. It was a joke to mock his name like what they did in the anime XP Hence his facial expression. I know what his name means in the anime
So you can stop telling me me what his name means XD1st circle . Ururu / Girl
2nd circle. Strawberries / Ichigo
3rd circle. Question Mark/ WTF?

i looked it up, and ichi means one and go is orange so ichigo is meant to mean only orange in some translations...apparently, tite kubo named him that because he's the only one in the series with orange hair...orihime and rangiku were supposed to have strawberry blonde hair which makes it look orange but then everyone one said it was orange and tite kubo didnt want to change ichigo's name so he kept it...i guess thats just one of the many struggles of becoming a manga artist ^u^

on the manga explains why his name is ichigo. It means Ichi (1 or protector) and Go (15)

i was watching the series (obviously) and when Ichigo is fighting the giant guy with the axes at the gate the axe guy makes fun of his name saying its a pansie name or whatever.
And Ichigo replies with an angry reply saying that "Ichi" means first place winner (something along those lines not word for word) and "go" means guardian angel, and it came right from his mouth cant remember ep number but im sure if you know what im talking about you can find it!!
