This piece resembles yin and yang but there is a certain fluidity that is not in the original. The colors are very complimentary of each other. What the original yin and yang doesn't have are shadows and depth. This piece contains a minimal to maximum shading, and in so doing created a subtle 3D effect. The simplistic way you have put crown molding on this piece is a nice embellishment and makes each piece pop up a little bit more. It is so simple to look at, wow two colors, but it is masterful in the way the shadow flow. How deft on put to put the dark one on top so it compliments the green more than the other way around. I do because I flipped the picture upside down. This is so well done as well as complicated. Nothing was overdone, picture perfect.

Simple and artistic.~ ^.^ Love the reflection of the same design and the way the two colors merge yet not completely.
