Description "Purple Nature" is a Korean Fir (Abies korean); native to the higher mountains of South Korea, including Jeju-do island. It grows at altitudes of 1,000-1,900 m in temperate rain forest with high rainfall and cool, humid summers, and heavy winter snowfall.
The cones are 4-7 cm long and 1.5-2 cm broad, dark purple-blue before maturity; the scale bracts are long, green or yellow, and emerge between the scales in the closed cone. The winged seeds are released when the cones disintegrate at maturity about 5–6 months after pollination.
Korean Fir is a very popular ornamental plant in gardens in cool climates.

I have looked for this evergreen, but can't find any information. Do you have more details, such as the species and where the tree is located? The closest I can find is this.....

but it is a fir, not a pine.
Thanks.

Hi there Kat,

I think you are in the right track saying that this is a fir not a pine, although it does belong to the Pinaceae family (pine family).
Here's a link to wikipidia and a lot more info about it [link]

All best wishes,

Kancano

I cannot find this beauty available anywhere in Canada! In the States, yes, but nurseries are not allowed to ship it here. This country is so far behind the times, it's bloody prehistoric!

I will keep looking. Thank you for the info.
