AskthePickleLord : Over the cold bark the skin cracks,

The drips are stunningly luminescent,
The I look away and back feeling parallax,
My heart dips into a warm melting crescent.

I can see how you would call it gator skin! Most people probably don't even know the beauties that come to fruition at the call of Mother Nature.

I think the crack in the middle is awing, and that this piece definitely deserves it's popularity and more.

However, this is the reason I did not just put that bit in a comment. I wanted to express how beautiful I think this is, so yet again, I'll explain in the way of our ancestors.

In rhyme.

Over the cold bark the skin cracks,
The drips are stunningly luminescent,
The I look away and back feeling parallax,
My heart dips into a warm melting crescent.

Thank you for a wonderful critique. I really like what you have to say about my work. This photo isn't one of the ones that grabs attention unfortunately. I feel it is something better than my average photo, but it's okay if people don't like my work or a particular piece. Thank you tons though. You are awesome! Did you come up with the Rhyme on your own???

No, YOU'RE awesome! How come this has not grabbed more attention? Dang-nab those crazy people who don't look at enough Photography-Made by-Real-Estate-Agents...*goes into a corner to grumble*

*blushes* Yes, actually. I'm not very good. It's too poetic to be a poem, don'tcha think?

I don't know. Any attention my work gets is done directly by what I do. Unfortunately I am not yet good enough persay that people would go "hey, I need to share this with tons of people.", who will in turn share it with tons of more people, who in turn keep the cycle going indefinitely. I am fine with the way progress is going because I don't think it would be wise to become...lets say a successful photographer overnight. Maybe if I were that kind of photographer then I wouldn't keep going out to do what I enjoy doing and I would lose what aspect I love of this. Eventually though I would like to say "Hey, people like my crap and share my crap with their friends, who pass my crap along further xD." But this is fine the way its going now.

Also I don't think most real estate agents do photography. We have some that we have to do for the job, but most people can do that with a phone or a point and shoot camera.

I really enjoyed your poem, I have messages to go through still, but I am adding it to the deviation!!

Aw, thank you! You didn't have to add it to Gator Skin, and it's not even that good. THANK YOU.

"...and then, once you're finished with that, someone gave me some crap of theirs and told me to like it, so here's the crap. Pass the crap to your friends."

I was surprised too. I thought ice just froze and if there were any patterns it would be from icicles. This is a new one even for me.
