You use the avater, you'll have to right click it and save it as a .GIF file. Then go to 'change icon.' It's small enough, so it's usable for dA. A bunch of these aren't.

I downloaded a simple animating program called... unfreez. I think that's what it was. Then you just paste in the pics you want and voila, you have an avatar.
