Description
It's an imaginary coat of arms of the fictional country, Alliance of the States of Japan. It became independent as the Alliance of Domains of Ōuetsu.
I also call as the Northern Alliance of Japan.
NAJ/ASJ/ADO is a complex of allied many small states. It is composed of the Ōu alliance, the Kaishō alliance, the Nagaoka domain, the Hokuetsu alliance, and the northern colonies.
I don't know how describe the blazon of crests, so I explain it by simple English.
Black pentagram on the white field in 1st quarter is a symbol of Ōu Alliance, the alliance of the domains in northeast Japan, against newly formed Imperial government (Meiji Government).
White three wild ginger leaves in a circle on the black field in 2nd quarter is a variant of the crest of Tokugawa clan. It also demonstrate Kaishō (Aizu-Shōnai) alliance in this timeline.
White three oak leaves in a circle on the black field in 3rd quarter is a crest of Makino clan, the monarch of Nagaoka domain.
Red five-pointed star on the blue field in 4th quarter is a flag symbol of Hokkaidō Colonization Bureau. It's also symbol of Hokkaidō, Sakhalin and Kuril in this timeline.
And at last, Golden Dharma Wheel on the red shield in center means its peaceful unification.
The wheel also means Alliance's first and last monarch, Buddhist priest Prince Rinnōji Kōgen(Reign 1868-1895). After his death, Alliance moved to presidential system.
The Hokuetsu domains were in the position of a new government, but they joined the alliance because it was forced to neighboring countries. So, the emblem of them is not included in the national coat of arms.
