Soooo.....This started out as a doodle. Then it became practice for painting with values. Then I decided to slap on some color over the values. Then I went a little crazy with making some custom brushes for the kimono pattern.
And somewhere between point A and point B it became Haruno Sakura. LOL. I actually really like her character though. She's one of my favorites.
And wow I have not drawn Naruto fanart in a loooong long while, but the latest chapters must've put some inspiration in me to finally draw some! I'm excited to see how this kage meeting is gonna go...but really, I just want good old Team 7 to get back together! ;__; Is that really too much to ask for?
Ah well...And if you were wondering, she has no hands because I was too lazy to draw them.

Yes, I do enjoy Sakura's character. Out of all the Naruto characters, she seems the most human and is the easiest one to relate to.

To be honest, this Sakura came out as a bit of an accident lol. What started out as doodling then speed value painting practice eventually turned into a full blown 4 hour coloring/painting/photoshopping session. And somewhere in that time frame that little doodle became Sakura.

I LOVE the kimono.. and the way you did her hair. It's so smooth looking, I adore it.

Thank you! The hair was actually quite simple to do...a few custom brushes here and there and it basically paints itself. The painting method I use for the hair is something I learned from this tutorial [link] , so check it out when you have the time. It makes painting hair SUPER easy.
