This is a rich image, and it appeals to me on a number of levels.
At first it to be an image of a guy with a mohawk. Then it becomes a glimpse of his alternative, maybe gritty, view of life. And finally, it turns out to be a very well balanced composition.
The obvious portrait element works. The pose & the angle capture a sense of distractedness - almost 'what-ever. You do your thing down there, I'll do mine. Just let me have my space'. It's looking around at his space that the picture triggers more thoughts for me.
The blocks of flats (apartments in the rest of the world I think!), and the concrete roof he's standing on are all 'natural element' for him. The edge of the high roof has its own message - not your average safety first setting 
The overall composition is also effective - the bright lead-in line from the bottom left, catching the leg and then body on the right third, and then all facing back into the body of the image. The thrust forward right leg is quite important to the overall image here. Also a nice balance between the guy and the building across the way, somehow facing back at him - I like the closure it gives to the composition.
Negatives? Vignetting is over done on the edge of the building in the top left - it looks like a wierd shadow of a passing cloud. If you used a 'standard' mask/ effect, then I would edit it back and lighten it a little. Also, I find the street direction sign left-centre off-putting for some reason. I think its just a contrast item - dodge it a little lighter, and it will pick up less attention.
BTW, I appreciate the subtle signature.
Overall? Captures the sense of 'your world' well, and manages to communicate something to an 'outsider'. It's an image that has grown on me, and has surprised me in having more to it as I study it, rather than just being a snap of a guy on a building. Well done.
