Finally finished just in time for JAFAX! To be honest, I can't say that I like Shingeki no Kyojin: Attack on Titan as much as everybody else, although I am fascinated by how incredible the animation studio makes it! It's the kind of fascination I get from series like Neon Genesis Evangelion; where the series is borderline hopeless for redemption, yet still has it's characters kicking and fighting that makes it seem like there could actually be a happy ending.It's one of the most talked-about series this Spring, and I don't mind recommending people to at least check it out so long as it's extreme violence isn't an issue to them.

I would love to draw the whole cast someday, maybe once the second anime comes up and the hype for the show returns! Not sure when it'll be planned though, considering how much work they'll have to prepare.

Best part of the art style, in my opinion? The titans. Not the special snowflake titans, like the colossal, armored, or female titans, but the general mook titans. It's sort of an uncanny valley effect; their faces are drawn in a semi-realistic style, with the proportions just a little bit off; combine that with their bodies, and the character designs for the human characters, they look very unsettling.

There's at least one of those incredibly high-budgeted scenes per episode, and it's just jaw-dropping. I mean-- just how much money is going into these scenes?!
