Description
This draw is based on "The wounded lioness". A relief that depicts a lioness, impaled by three arrows, as she collapses in agony. It belonged to Assyrian King Ashurbanipal’s (668-627 BCE) North Palace at Nineveh. The first time I saw that was in a history book, when I was a child. To say the truth, I'd gotten really impresed by that relief. It meaned that someone had to memorize the pain and suffering from an animal to be able to sculpt it. So I wanted to draw something related to it. Hope you like it.
