A preserved CFL (Luxembourg Railways) Z 200-series Diesel Multiple Unit awaits the next summer season, when tourists will once again return on the Mariembourg - Treignes heritage line.

Built by the (West-)German constructor Westwaggon in 1956/57, the CFL Z 200 was a series of 8 Diesel units. Originally numbered as 201 A/B - 208 A/B, the units were renumbered in the 1980s as 201/211 - 208/218. Following the electrification of the entire Luxembourg railway network in the 1980s, the Z 200 units became surplus to requirement. Two units were withdrawn in 1989 (scrapped 1992), and the remaining six units were withdrawn in 1994, with 201/211 doing the last scheduled services during the fall of 1994. Originally, three units were preserved (201/211, 206/216 & 208/218), but unfortunately one of them (206/216) was destroyed in an fire arson attack in 2007.

Nowadays, unit 201/211 is held by the CFV3V in Belgium, while unit 208/218 is operated by the SSMN in Luxembourg. Both are kept operational and used for heritage rides.
