Yesterday, I got up around 0830, ate breakfast and then began unpacking my collection of books and manga. This is the end results. I was honestly surprised that I was able to fit ALL of my manga on the bookshelf. Even the ones that I had at home managed to find their way up there. XDOf course you can't see them, the books are like three rows deep. XD I'm totally going to have to move them around to get to them.

And... that's it... for manga. I also have anime, some books up there too. Both Naruto Artbooks and the Vampire Knight artbook. Both the Naruto and Vampire Knight fanbooks. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Pokemon Black/White, and Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver stragedy guides.
Yes.... a lot of stuff. Again, I'm surprised it all fit. The shelf was sagging after I got everything put up there. I was so worried it was going to fall down and break my dragon statues on the shell bellow it. Luckily, my mom came and saved the day by putting up braces for all three shelves!
The paperbacks I have collected were put into the bookshelf I have near the back door to my room. My non-anime/Asain film DVDs went downstairs.
Everything is unpacked and I'm starting on my laundry.

Oh yes I did get out. Perfect timing too, because everyone on my ship is losing their minds. Haha. They've all been working crazy hours everyday, thinking it would all be worth it to go to fleet week in Boston. They all just found out that the ship actually isn't going to fleet week anymore. Sucks for them, but I told everyone months ago when I was still there that the ship wouldn't actually go. I know that ship is trying to get on deployment as soon as possible. They will be relieving Blaze's ship when they get ready to come back.
I'm thinking Yunger might have done it to get off her ship, I'm not sure though. I didn't ask her. I just congratulated her. And Gilbo wiiiished she touched his wee wee. Haha.
She never would have anything to do with that boy.
It was sad. He always said he was disappointed about that.
He told me the other day he was disappointed we never got to do much. Haha ewww. That boy's crazy.

They made a big deal about fleet week to me on my ship. They'd be all "Spence, you don't wanna leave the Navy now, we still got fleet week!"
I knew it wasn't going to happen though.
Blaze went to fleet week in New York last year. He had fun.
I don't know. The Navy and "fun" just don't go together for me. Haha.

I think my ship is like your ship. People HATE being on the Shoup. But my parent division is really cool and I love them.

Oh gosh. I pray that no other ship in the Navy is like the Kearsarge.
Even my chief said the ship is awful.
He said he didn't blame me for getting off that thing.
He mentioned when I first got there, that if it was his first ship, he would never have reenlisted.
Fun is secured at that place.
You would be surprised how many people (even first classes and above) have asked me how I did it because they said they can't take it anymore.
They all want off, but they're afraid the only way they can leave is dishonorably.
I told them they don't need to do like me. Since they ALL feel that way, they need to ALL get together and make a change.
There is NO reason they've been working everyday from 5 am to past 6 pm. (Even weekends).
If I had known everyone else felt the same way, I would have led the effort. Haha.
That's my advice. If everyone hates it, everyone needs to let the higher ups know. Enough pressure, and they'll think over how they treat people.
Yeah, it's the Navy and there will always be crap to do that nobody really ever wants to do, but if people are being mistreated, it is possible to change that.
Yeah, I had to leave, but since I did, my CO has been watching certain people.

All the CS1's on my ship wanted me to sleep with them (the males, the females were just mean to me).
No lie. One called me randomly one day and asked if I would.
Another stayed up (when I worked nights) and asked me if I would have "some fun" in the freezer. EW.
When they realized it wasn't happening, they like, turned on me haha.
They accused me of not doing any work, sleeping with the senior chief, and they stopped sticking up for me when the females would be mean to me.
I didn't care though, I just stopped doing my job and leaving whenever I felt like it, and they couldn't do anything because I would bring up them trying to get in my pants.
I hate the perfectionist types. I worked 4 hours after I was supposed to because someone wanted to be "perfect." It was so stupid. My advice is to find some blackmail on them hahahahaha. It helps. XD

I had this chick stay at my house that was pretty bad.
She tried to sleep with my other roommate (even though she's married).
We kicked her out, but she's trying to cause trouble.
She's threatening to sue us and is telling her husband that we kicked her out because she wouldn't sleep with my roommate. She's such an idiot.

Well, in OT (my parent division) we only work late if we don't have maintenance done. Other than that we get off around 1600 and have weekends off if we don't have duty. It's not that the ship itself is bad, it's more than in a lot of divisions there is lack of leadership. I'm currently cranking and S2's former senior chief was insane. (The CSs tell me he was called Psycho Sid.) One of the CSs told me that it's the higher up leadership, they don't know what goes on. They don't understand the daily grind. The engineers work until midnight, like every day it seems.
I wouldn't say the Shoup is horrible like the Kearsarge, but CS2 Garson said he felt sorry that the Shoup was my first ship.
I still don't like the girls that sleep around me. Especially this on deckseaman, Dockery. Wooohooo, she's a piece of work. You know those snotty bitches with a chip on their shoulder because they "grew up in the hood/ghetto" part of town? That's Dockery.

Oh yeah, the whole supply department on the Kearsarge is corrupt and unorganized. They're just now being investigated for it though, as they should be.
When I first got to the ship, our work schedule was pretty much the same as yours. They started changing it recently. Nobody's allowed off the ship until at least 1700. You have to come to work BEFORE 6 am, and now Saturdays are mandatory work days. I believe Sunday is now the only day off (unless you have duty, of course).
Oh lord. I've had girls like that try to argue with me.
Like "you don't know where I been, I'm from the hood." type stuff.
My reply is always "SO AM I, GET OVER IT" haha.
The girls like that on my ship always make such a big deal about being from the hood, and they have never even been shot at (not that it's a good thing to be shot at, but until you've had a gang shoot at you, don't tell me how hood you are). XD

Ship life is crazy, but I'm oddly starting to enjoy it for some reason. Irunno, maybe I'm crazy. Hahah. But whatever. Life is fun right now. I'm listening to a band called In Extremo, they are awesome! I'm totally getting more of their albums. After I wiki them again and check their studio album list. They are a medival metal band. Which is really cool. I love medival style music. ^^
Really? Wow. Yeah, the old Suppo and CSCS were insane. Well, at least I have it better than my chief. He worked in the wardroom when he was a young EWSN Gwinner (XD) and he couldn't even write a letter home! Which totally sucked! I can call home whenever I want after working hours, but he wasn't even allowed to write a letter home!

Not a good idea, but it kept him off me.
I was never really able to call or email home while cranking, but I would sneak away and use the Suppo's personal line to call home.
I wasn't supposed to, but I didn't like the Suppo and didn't care.
