I think the reason why I like your work so much is because it is so different from everything I've seen in my life. It feels like I'm being transported into another world when I look at your photographs and this one in particular is nothing like the mosques in my country. This place feels airy and light and yes, I can sense the vastness of it. It also feels like you are 'outside' the picture, just looking in, which is what you were trying to accomplish, I'm sure.

the largest church in the world for almost 1,000 years before it was converted to a mosque. nice shot - it's difficult to get a feel for the massive space, but i think you've done a fine job. i see they still have scaffolding up in there. it was a bit of an eyesore when i visited in '00 & '02. they write the names of muslims rulers (the orthodox caliphs)at the top on the colums
the middel name show in the photo is OTHMAN BIN AFAAN the 3ed orthodox caliphs.
