Support these great dogs!Don't fall into the media's constant harassment and misrepresentation of the breed.
All dogs are capable of biting, and mauling, no matter what breed. It's all in how you raise and socialize the dog.
Unfortunately where I live, the breed has been banned -_-;

Pitbulls are actually very nice dog breeds, and are great family dogs!
Really, chihuahuas tend to be the most vicious dog breed, but they're very small so they can't really hurt anyone; plus, any dog breed could be aggressive.

agree, their misunderstood,like rottweilers.
everyone says rottweilers are a bad breed, but i have one and he's sweet.
its depends how you raise them.

You are the kind of person I'd like to see alot more, even though its Banned, you still realize what pitties go through, I myself am a foster, I foster 3 pitties, I love pitbulls because of the breeds heart, I know that they are to be loved, not just a guard dog, but a family dog at most, I hope every one in the world, one day, realize the breed like some people do, for it not to be faught for fun, but loved and acually FED, people like you can teach others to know that Pitties are a sweet loving breed, and like you said, ALL DOGS ARE CAPABLE OF BITING, AND MAULING, That is what I wish too hear alot more, not just pitbulls, because its true, all dogs an bite, all dogs can kill people, not just ONE breed.
I hate what some people do to pitbulls. <3 I wish more people like you where in the world!

i hate it when people just assume pitbuls are vicious because they were bred to fight, but they can be really loving dogs, i wish i had one...

Me too! I hate how the media also puts a spotlight on them. In a news article a few years back where I live, a toddler was attacked by a hound dog. Dog was chained, kid somehow got within reach of the dog. Guess what the mother who wasn't watching has to say "If it was a pitbull it would have been put down" She was angry that dog wasn't being put down for her negligence.

that's a bummer. That true about dogs but they're all animals that even if raised well can bite someone. Too many people treat their pets like small people and don't research the breed. Pit Bulls were traditionally breed to be aggressive and traces of that can sometimes be found, but as long as an owner keeps an eye on the dog and is careful their is little chance of an incident.
