Numba 5:Garden Party. We were told this challenge to design a dress based on a flower, i chose the snapdragon. [link]

The snapdragon - to me - is not the most serious of the flowers, it's too frilly to be completely elegant like an orchid, and it's too simple to be as extravagant as a peony; so what i went for in this dress was the essence of this flower would be: playful, confident, and of course fabulous.

Fabrics/materials - hand dyed china silk going from white to orange to pink-red ( dress body )
- pink-red silk organza and lightweight wire( shoulder-bust ruffle )
- silver botanically correct interlocking snapdragon leaf bracelette
-black t-strap pumps with a peep-toe and platform

Model - Tyler (what a cutie! )

Description: ok, there are only a few things to clear up (just in case) first, the hem of the dress has two layers of small ruffles. the giant ruffles are double-layer organza with the wire stitched into the top edge to keep the ruffle shape
