"In which Nanao Ise finally lets go..."DEFINITELY FULL-VIEW!!! So much detail is lost in the small pic!!
Yea!! 8th Division love! This is Captain Kyouraku Shunsui and his vice-captain Nanao Ise from Bleach. I had wanted to have this done for that horrible holiday that just passed us, other-wise known as Valentine's Day. The omake chapter that Kubo Tite did was so cute~ about Nanao fixing Shunsui a chocolate cake. It was so funny.
About this pic: It's just pencil and a lil' bit of digital (just for hi-lites) Sorry for the completely pathetic lack of background, but I was a bit tired of working on this, to tell the truth. I really wanted to get it posted and...yeah. I've been wanting to do a drama!ShunsuixNanao, but mostly what I draw of them is light and fun and frivolous, which is the way I see their relationship. ( On the other hand the GinxMatsumoto ship is all drama.)
So ...I really wanna see these two back in action in the comic book. The newest chapters of Bleach are pretty shocking though.
The title of this pic comes from the song "Super Duper Love" by Joss Stone. Little ol' white girl can sing!! I thought she was black at first because she's got this amazing voice that you only find usually in black peeps gospel churches. I like me some good soul music. And I think it goes great with this couple...

Aw, ain't that the cutest lil' pic? It's amazing how you caught the love in Shunsui's eyes. It's not lust, but it's a pleasure in seeing the one his heart beats for.
And if you want to draw something dramatic for this pairing, why don't you draw something related to when Shunsui saved Nanao from Yammamoto's reiatsu? I thought that was pretty dramatic, but perhaps that's just me...
While we're at it, what chapter is that in the manga? And the chapter you mentioned in your artist's comments? I want to catch up on all the little things I miss by watching the anime, but I don't feel ready to read the entire manga, as I apparently haven't missed a lot.
Oh, and really great artwork again. I wish I could draw even half as good. Even if I potrayed just style, no emotion.

Oh. Mai. GAWD! I LOVE your Kyouraku/Nanao pics. I worship this pairing in Bleach. I also adore your Aizen pics, though I love him better as a captain. ^_^ My fave character overall, however, is Uktiake.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time believing that that espada dude is really Kaien. But my husband threw an idea out that maybe Kaien was sided with Aizen the whole time, even while in Soul Society. It's feasible.

I'd like to think it wasn't the case. >.< But who knows. I'm thinking of the dual consciousness theory, like with Ichigo and his Hollow... I personally feel that Kubo has been using Kaien as a foreshadowing of some of the things that happen to Ichigo...
Though with 265 out, that espada seems more like a Vizard than an Arrancar.
