Yeah... he really did regret it there, at the end, but I could tell he had only wanted what he thought was best, and wanted to communicate that at least to Basch before he died... ;___;

To clear the air that he wasn't a traitor, he just went with his gut. Can't blame him though, I would have thought Basch was a goner too after two years of not seeing him and the empire still making their moves towards ... uh... dalmasca? (sorry, its been a couple of months since I finished playing it lol)

Yeah! ;___; Same here... I really loved Vossler and his headstrong, righteous character. It really paralleled and contrasted Basch's similar, but slightly more flexible character; he had an interesting dynamic with almost all the cast, really.
Manly men! I love them :'D My mom called me out on it, and I'm not sure if she was amused or just raising an eyebrow, haha~
I totally approve of the OT3 Fran/Balthier/Basch pairing!! I've been craving good fiction of them since I fell in love with the series~

there is nothing more awesome than a man who's just a man. I personally have grown weary of all these wishy-washy metros that men are these days. vossler had a chin-beard! it was awesome! ahh, men.
I agree on the dynamic. Vossler had a certain unwavering whatever-it-takes attitude, and it really added to the story even though he wasn't a huge part of it.
there is not enough fran/bal/basch out there. it saddens me deeply.

True, it was convenient for the plot. But that doesn't mean they couldn't have gone around it. *sobs* Agreed, I would have liked to see him in the end too. (and while we're at it, let's bring back Noah and Reddas too, that would be nice)
I've always been curious about what happened to Zargabaath in the end. He's the only judge to survive after all. He wasn't such a bad guy, so perhaps he got to keep his position. No one ever mentions him though.

I know! Baz, how could you. Nice pic though. I did find it annoying that squeenix didn't put any blood in. It really lessened the impact of an otherwise heartrending scene.

Reminds me of the RP. We had him commandeer an escape craft in the nick of time etc. etc. thus setting up an AU. He got mist-touched and basically got half his face pretty damaged and has problems with above-average mist concentrations, but he's alive.
I love that RP. I have Vossler. Any RP in which Vossler is mine is good. Only fandom I ever RP...

I suppose it helps add more flesh to Basch's character, to show that he would respect Vossler's desire for a "honourable death" rather than save him (or perhaps he believed him beyond saving? At least he stayed, for a little while...)
As for the blood, I'M TOTALLY WITH YOU. Even a little bit would've done the trick... as it was, it looked as if Vossler might've had some really bad case of constipation or something, rather than a life-ending injury o_o;;; As for the sexy part.... well, that's one of my kinks

I just love Vossler so much. Not traitor, but not a hero... he was the side of the coin that did what he thought was right and nobody could blame him, but nobody could forgive him. He was just unlucky. He tried to be the sensible one and avoid killing his country due to idealism and, well, it didn't work out too well. He just panicked, because he cared about his country and knew that they could hunt the princess - and his friend Basch - to the ends of Ivalice. It wasn't his fault that he wouldn't believe they would succeed. I would do the same - I just wouldn't have had the strength to stand and fight all the same. So I admire him. He tried. To the very end he did what he thought was right and he admitted his mistake, but never once do you even think he was doing it for his own ends. It was that confession at the end.
Not a traitor just. I don't know... a very great character, with so many sides to him. It would've been fascinating to see him alongside Basch again with both of them changed by their experiences, the destruction of the Order and the takeover of Dalmasca, those years in the cage - and being separate from a good friend (or, as just about everyone seems to think, a lover 
/fangirling. 8|
And yes. It's my kink too. I go on /g/ sometimes. There is a lack of FFXII stuff that isn't more than a cursory 'ooh a little drop of blood'. D;
Thing is, because of the lack of blood, we don't know if his wounds were fatal, or merely debilitating. Could they have saved him or not? We don't know is Basch would have saved him, or just knew he was too far gone. Did he forgive him and leave him to the inevitable or...?
(A case of the ambiguous that isn't good purely because it isn't intentional, though nojecture is always fun.)

Vossleeeer ;__; His whole existence is a tragedy to me, because I could tell he really loved Dalmasca, he cared enough about the princess to alienate all he believed were traitors far from him and her to keep her safe for two intense years, he did everything in his power to restore the crown to her, going as far as to shackle himself to her hate forever if it meant keeping her alive and well...... TOT!! VOSS YOU IDIOT i love you but why'd you have to die? Baww.
