Have you read the FF12 manga? It goes into greater detail about the assault on Dalmasca that's shown at the beginning of the game, and it shows this scene of the scar, too *3*

I always wondered exactly how he got that nasty scar on his face... BUT this would be awesome if they actually showed it in the game!

Yeah, same here o-O I totally had NO idea what was going on or who was who... I'm actually ashamed to say my first playthrough, I didn't recognize Vossler as Basch's companion at the beginning when he popped up later... and I totally didn't catch on to the whole deception thing and the fact that Basch had a twin brother until he explicitly stated it after you freed him..... OTLLLL <-- was a stupid 15 year old xD;;;

However, for practice, I enjoy drawing stuff from games I like (such as FF12 xD) that has lots of armoured peeps or whatnot, so I can improve my armouring-skills O: It's slightly annoying at first (I'm used to organic lines where I don't have to think before I place them) but after a while it gets really fun to add all the details and stuff XD

Yeah! That was Rex - poor bebe walked in after all the soldiers had been owned and the king killed, and Noah, impersonating Basch, made it look as if Basch had killed them before mortally wounding Rex D:
From afar, restrained, Basch was like "Noooooo~!" D:

My solution is to look into all the medieval-setting-like games (such as FF12 xD) with tons of armour references and learn from that :'D;; I have no creativity to make up my own armour orz
