Description A much ignored incarnation of the starship Enterprise. Personally I think this ship is much better looking than the D.

I prefer Galaxy class as you know.
Ambassador class is "only" a heavy cruiser type of ship. The Galaxy is a battleship - diffrent category and class of armor/firepower/detectors/ECM.
Great picture by the way

The Galaxy is NOT a battleship. Suggest you contact the ASDB for full clarification but the Federation has NO battleship class.

Yes, it is...
...but Federation will never official call it like this because it is a peacefull organization. As naval technology specialist I tell you, that there is not, and never will be armed and heavy armored spaceship of Galaxy size, with "Explorer" classification. As the most powerful warship in Starfleet and flageship (USS Enterprise-D) it is a ship of tle line - battleship.

I'm not going to argue, the official line is the galaxy class is a heavy explorer. Check your official facts.

There is no classification like this in the world

No offence meant but your naval qualifications are for the here and now not for a non aquatic force some three hundred years into a hypothetical future. There are plenty "official" publications about this hypothetical future available as well as many online resources and references. Its folly to assume that todays classifications fit just about anything anywhere in a science fiction environment.

In org. Star Trek, Federation based on Royal Navy with all her traditions, classifications, Instructions etc. So I see no logic reason, to change main classification of the biggest and most powerful warship in fleet. At Dominum War, Galaxy class fought all together in classic battle line like battleships...

I totally agree, the Ambassador-class design is just great, and it's really a shame that the Enterprise-C hasn't been fully feature in a serie !
