Description

Some of these didn’t scan very well, but it was fun to make these.  Feel free to use my Fakemon or create Fakemon based on them as long as you A) give me credit and B) don’t use them for something inappropriate (like obscene material, political stuff, hateful stuff, or fake leaks).  I’d also appreciate you letting me know if you use them.  I hope you all enjoy.  Here are a couple blogs featuring the artwork of my Fakemon.

*Dragon-Poison- These are based on wyverns.

*Dragon-Rock- These are based on wingless gargoyles and grotesques.

*Dragon-Steel- If I recall correctly, these are based on toy versions of dragons and kaiju (which sometimes have red tongues which can be made to stick out to give the appearance of breathing flames).

*Dragon-Water- These are based on sea serpents.  This typing is now used by Tatsugiri.

*Dragon-Grass- These are based on dragon fruits.

*Dragon-Dark- These are inspired by the depiction of Western dragons as greedy for treasure and sleeping on their treasure hoards to protect them from thieves (Remember Smaug in The Hobbit sleeping on his treasure and having part of it stick to him as a form of armor).  This typing is now used by Roaring Moon.

*Dark-Poison- These are based on plague rats and also have some traits of the Korori, a cholera spirit of ancient Japanese folklore.  This typing is now used by Hisuian Qwilfish and Overqwil.

*Dark-Ground- These are based on the mujina (shapeshifting badger spirits) of Japanese mythology with the final evolution also sharing some traits of ruffians or gangsters.  This typing is now used by Ting-Lu.

*Dark-Rock- These are based on monkeys & apes and were inspired by the Barbary macaques (also known as Barbary apes or rock apes) on the Rock of Gibraltar and Igoo the rock ape from The Herculoids.
