I don't think that Peasley is that popular by the fans, for saving him to be forgotten. It's like Dreambert. Dream Team Bros is a beautiful funny game. Many played that game... but Dreambert was forgotten after a short time.

Interesting. But i think, that Super Mario Land is the last game in the timeline, what also would make sense, why Luigi never meet her before. I think he Marrys Peach and at the end Mario is Dairys future girlfriend. After the break up with Pauline, the one sided love with Peach and the non love interest with Prince Pine who was saved by Mario. xD
