Reminds of when my mom wanted me to wear dresses to show my legs more and wear makeup. She also wanted me to wear tighter jeans. Tight clothes are a big no no for me. I always felt weird wearing the stereotypical girl stuff. Even now I still get them for Christmas or my birthday. I just stopped caring about what others said about my choice of outfits and interests.

People, from the time I was in elementary school, tell me that I would be pretty if I styled my hair instead of just tying it back, if I wore dresses and skirts instead of baggy jeans and t-shirts, or if I just put on some makeup. Basically telling me to look like someone other than myself. It was hard some days, but I tried to not let them get to me. Because even though it seemed like no one liked how I looked, I liked how I looked. I thought that I was beautiful.
Your artwork is amazing. You have no idea how much it speaks to me. I wish you the best in everything that you do.
