Nice, nice, nice shot. I love using all kinds of paint, and I laugh when I see my hands afterward. :]

there's something kind of special about hands that are dirty with paint...

Your welcome! By the way, I think your cuticles look fine... but then again I'm a man, what would I know?

I don't really care about my cuticles, honest, I only said it for comic effect!

Nice to speak to somebody over 15, how's the teaching going? I've just started as a full time mature student at art school so I'm on the other side.

The teaching is going very well thanks! It's always interesting seeing what my students have been up to and they generally inspire me to do more work! Have not had much time to do any recently though!
How is it going being a student? What are you studying? Always remember to have fun with it... there's too much stress in art these days!
Have to admit I'm not just a teacher, but I'm also on the other side as I am studyin for an A2 in Photography in an evening class. As I teach at A Level as well it is pretty strange at times sitting on both sides, but gives me a unique view! Just love learning new ways of making images.....

I'm doing a Foundation in Art & Design (at Camberwell College of Arts) and have just moved into Graphic Design within that. It was a bit of a wrench to choose it over photography but I wanted to learn something new. And it IS fun! Bloody hard work but it's so great I don't care about only getting four hours sleep some nights!

Must be great to be on both sides of the fence. Our tutors (who are all wonderful and are out there working in the field when not teaching us) say that we will learn more from each other and I gotta say the talent that surrounds me is breath-taking at times. I'm very lucky!

Never been to Camberwell, but I knoew someone who studied there, and she had a great time! In the past I studied at the Surrey Institute of Art and Winchester School of Art. Never really did the London thing... sometimes regret that, but then again maybe I should do something else in the future!
Actually never studied Graphic Design, but have become friends with several graphic designers, and think I would like to study it, and definitely Illustration at some point. I think a lot of people underestimate how much hard work an art subject is... for most other subjects you go to lectures, and then at the end your write essays, so only focus at the points when essays need to be written and spend the rest of the time getting drunk!!!!
Glad that you are having fun with it! It's always good to bounce off whatever other people are doing around you as well. It's great to share ideas and advice with other students, and sometimes you learn more from them than the tutors.... !!!

This is a very good photograph. Especially the tight crop. And it's fun getting paint everywhere - not so much fun trying to remove it.

Was not too bad, being water based paint!
