Okay, I have to confess some stuff. First, I forgot to draw Sadies's combat boots before. Shame on me.
Second, and most important, it has been crazy how in the previous comments (ig account) of my #tkc fanart there was a deep bother about Sadies's skin tone. I respect and totally get all your points of view/opinions. Truth is, in the fandom, we all want Kane siblings to be represented as they deserve and without any white-washing for the fanarts and hopefully for the Netflix's movies coming soon. I really LOVE these books and that's why I enjoy drawing about it and I want to do justice to them.

When I first imagined Sadie, I really thought she was white and blonde (just like her mother). When I saw the official artwork, she also looked white and blonde. I took this as a reference, so my intention wasn't to white-washing her at all.
And I don't have any clue if it is possible to have a white sister being black. Probably is. I don't know anything about genetics!😂
But the point is, I can recognize people got mad, not because of Sadie, but because this is a real social issue that is very important to talk about. Even the author, the amazing Rick Riordan, has always been inclusive and has created all kinds of characters.

Black and mixed-tone people deserve to be represented realistically. I just thought Sadie wasn't one of them.
So, in conclusion, I still don't know what's the real description of Sadie🤷😂 I just can say there seems to be two official looks: the one in the books (where a lot of people understood she was mixed and with light caramel hair), and the one in the official artwork (where she looks very white and blonde to me).

So, to make this a little bit more fair, I decided to draw her now like this, trying to combine these two looks. So, she ends up looking like the second looks 😂

Everybody can imagine her as they want, imagination is something we all can play with and have fun and love our characters not because of their looks, but because of their personality and values, what they have to offer us❤️
