One of my recent projects. Here for american metal legend METAL CHURCH. Album titled THIS PRESENT WASTELAND ( release date: 23.09.2008 ). It's not 100% final version of existing cover ( they edited a little bit shadow of the cross - badly in my oppinion ). Brilliantly done. There is a touch of divinty in the artwork that noboby saw! The shadow of the cross also looks like the branch of a thorn tree. Note the sharp hooked thorns on the shadow of the guitar. Interesting that the thorn crown that Jesus wore while on the cross are carried down into the shadow of the cross on the ground. It is as if Jesus gives his approval on the music that the band is generating through the guitar.

Looks nice. I agree with the shadow coming off the Cross. It would look nicer if the shadow actually looked like something, instead of just a malformed shadow. IE, if this is a metal band, the shadow should be in the shape of a guitar!
Either way, looks really cool.

the shadow is the shadow of a custom heavy metal guitar and it refers to Metal Church's legendary debut album cover (Metallica say that Metal Church are one of their alltime heroes)
