I'll take him.
Name: Thanh (Means "clear blue or elegant" in Vietnamese)
Sex: Male
Personality: Thanh thinks highly of himself and can come off a bit snobbish, but for a few berries, he'll do whatever you want.
Just let me know what your paypal email is and I'll send your $5 right over.

Most adoptables cost from about 30 to 210 points, much cheaper than $5 (equivalent to 400 points)

That's why nearly all of my original species are set in a 35-45 points range, from pre-sets to customs. But the times I do something from scratch with a original design and lineart, I'd like to be paid back for the time I spent on it.
It's a common argument on DA, how much people should price their art, if they have to price it according to the time spent on it, or if they should choose a competitive lower price to be sure to sell. Personally, I'm saving up for Christmas gifts (hence why I'm not putting it up for points), but I'm not that hard pressed that I can't wait a few months to see if someone wants to buy my adoptables.

Well, I'm warning you that your adoptable is going to be much less likely to be adopted.

Ouch.
Your outlook on adoptables is a bit flawed here.
The fact that this is being sold on dA is a big factor as to why people have a hard time selling adoptables.
Once dA introduced the point system, lots of whiney children made it a point to make everyone feel like they should charge less and less for their designs.
Designs should actually be sold by how much work, time and effort put into it.
By going around and "warning" people that they wont sell, you're technically bashing them : / Instead of telling people that their design is likely not to sell, why not tell your friends and be helpful about it?
I like that the artist didn't take offense to your words or let it bring them down, but think about that the next time you're at someone's design sale.
They put their time and effort into their design.
On Fur Affinity people never complain about how much something costs because they have an understanding that the artist is charging what they feel like the design deserves-- never does it cross their mind once to pop into the comments section and say "Ew, that's really expensive, it probably wont sell" because it's not true. I actually, within the past two months, saw a design auction start at $90. The design ACTUALLY sold for far over that even though in my eyes, it wasn't worth more than $30.

Not at all. I've seen some go for over six hundred points.
I saw another that went for over three hundred dollars.
