This is an older design, so hold rules apply if you wish. They can be found Adoptable Hold Rules and Payment Plans here but basically if you give me a definite date for a sure payment (within 20 days) I'll give you my paypal and put the character on hold for you. You can release the hold within the first two days without consequence, but it happens after that you will not be allowed holds anymore and your claim time for new adoptables will be lowered.
But they have been here for a long time, so I am pretty sure that you can risk leaving them open. (Famous last words?)
