PERSONAL & STORY DESCRIPTION
Mizu was exuberant, lively and tended to hide her true personality under a frivolous air. Mizu was able to see both sides of an argument so she was very tolerant and non-judgmental. She was open to the truth and willing to learn from everyone. She was very sincere, refined, and idealistic. She knew how to be persistent and to express herself with reason, moderation and, at times, with humor. Despite her open personality and her desire to help humanity, Mizu didn't usually make friends easily and less with her condition.

From an early age, her family was very strict with her. Her parents despised her for her strange condition, so she lived on the outskirts of the city of Tokyo in the company of her grandmother in a large mansion. Her grandmother said that when she was young she was a demon slayer with the love of her life, both of them helped the people who most needed it and her biggest dream was to marry him and that both of them would put an end once and for all with the tragedies demons caused. However, her crush said that he would never stop being a demon slayer and due to circumstances and her financial position, she had to marry in an arranged way and leave her job as a slayer.

On her 6th birthday, her grandmother gave her a long earring with a blue diamond, she told her that it was a very precious jewel for her and Mizu received it with great pleasure.
When she was ten years old, she told her grandmother that she was ready to learn to wield a sword and be a slayer, as she had always wanted to save all the lives that were necessary to fulfill her grandmother's dream. Her grandmother laughed upon reading her request and said:
"If that's what you want then I'll help you, small lady".
At that age she also learned to play the shakuhachi * and when she felt sad or frustrated, she would go out to the small garden behind the big house. When she played shakuhachi at home and was happy, she used to accompany her grandmother who played the koto* and they both created an amazing melody.

When she was eleven years old her grandmother was attacked by a demon who resented her grandmother for past events and she was so sad that she couldn't play the shakuhachi. She even almost gave up the dream of being a demon slayer. But, when she found a letter with her grandmother's last request, she reconsidered and knew that she had to fulfill her grandmother's will, because at some point that dream also became her. This is how she went to Mount Sagiri where she asked Urokodaki Sakonji to be trained and met Giyū and Sabito.
