Description
A single rebounding water droplet. Taken in a Pyrex baking tray with black card underneath. A red card was placed as a backdrop, with a flash pointed at it from the left. A mirror was used on the right to act as a fill light.Canon 40D, Canon 100mm macro lens, Canon 420EX flash on an extension cable (set to manual; 1/16 power). A Cognisys stopshot was used for timing, in conjunction with a Cognisys droplet rig.

Her work is truely magical. Some of my earlier attempts such as this [link] were done by following Arwen's tutorial. My latest attempts such as this one are done using a 'StopShot' from Cognisys which, amongst a lot of other things, is useful for getting the timing right on water droplet photos. The main benefit of the StopShot is that you don't burn through as many frames. (although you still burn through a lot!)
