adobe illustrator CS, 16 hours.This was more of an exercise to see how much I could push the mesh gradients and I'm very happy with the results. I used a photograph as reference. So far this is my most elaborate vector portrait. Hope you like it.

Hello, Your gradient mesh work is amazing!!! 16 hours yikes, im sure most of that time was spent on the mesh... I have played with mesh over and over, Please make a tutorial about using it or pleaase please give me just a few tips on this... PLEASE!

This is amazing! I find the gradient mesh to be very difficult to use, so you have my respect for that. Also, the details with the body hair and facial hair must have been a serious nightmare.

Thanks for the compliments. The body and facial hair are not as hellish as they seem. Is just a custom brush that took me 30 seconds to do. I have been meaning to draw him for a while, truly stunning, don't you agree

Haha, I can't say he's totally my type, but his work is riveting enough. ;D
And wow, the brush you made worked out really impressively! I definitely have a lot of practice to be done with things like brushes and even pattern in Illustrator. One of these days, when I have time, I'll just sit down with Illustrator and engineer some brushes and the like.

Yeah, I haven't seen a whole lot of it either (mostly pictures, yes) since that can get pricey and I'm not a pornoholic or anything. But he definitely looks great. Not sure I get the tattooed head, though.

I recently got my first one one my calf and it hurt a lot.. I can only imagine that all over my scalp..yeesh.

I've never gotten a tattoo, though I intend to sooner or later (of what, I still don't know). I hear that anywhere on the foot is the absolute worst place to get one in terms of pain, which I can only imagine is true since the skin there is kind of thin on some parts.
I should get my tattoo on my eyelid. Then I'll have real bragging rights. XD
