Shujaa and Jangwa have just been chosen by the queen to protect her cubs. Shujaa was assigned to Kabili; the second born and future leader of the royal guards. While Jangwa was assigned to Asali; the heir to the throne. At first Shujaa was very excited to help and serve under the prince. Only to find out the prince and princess were still only a couple of days old. So he ended up more on babysitting duty. Although Shujaa hates it, it seems some lions enjoy cubs more than others.

“C’mon Jangwa, we’re supposed to be guards. Not babysitters.”

“But who doesn’t like newborn cubs! They are so cute! Yes, you are!”

At this stage, Shujaa and Jangwa are only starting to fully grow out their mane. So more like teenagers really.
