Description
Beneath a shadowed veil where midnight sighs,
A creeping dread coils tight with watchful eyes.
Slick fur and sinuous steps, a stealthy tread,
Where whispered winds weave tales of fear and dread.
A low, guttural growl, a chilling sound,
As moonlight paints the trembling, frosted ground.
Sharp claws like daggers glint in shadows deep,
A hunter born where light and reason sleep.
Across the darkened field, its target lies,
Unsuspecting form where hushed terror flies.
The moment strikes, a flash of fang and fur,
A silent shriek the trembling night must slur.

The victim writhes and whimpers, small and weak,
As fangs descend, a final gasp to seek.

But as the dust descends, a truth so bright,
The shadowed fiend dissolves in morning light.
No beast of darkness, just a playful tease,

A feline hunter, batting at the breeze.
