I finished it! At last!I took a long time to make the background, and I think it came pretty nice. That stained glass design is a pretty important part of Orchidée... not only because it's pretty and colorful XD
It looks a lot like a cover, don't you think? Though it has a little of a poster feel to it as well XD Epic.
I made the orchid design in Illustrator, then imported it to Photoshop and worked on it to make it purty. I want to use Illustrator more... vectoring can come in handy in many situations, like in the stained glass orchid XD
I recorded the shading in video... I might post it soon in YouTube :3

Thank you! It's not a magicalgirl-magicalgirl story per se because there are tons of dudes making magic too, but at least the girls have to change to gothic lolita style for formal occasions XD with magic. Probably.

You actually don't have really far to go, you're at least good enough to do a comic. I guess I don't really know what you're aiming for so I can't say if you have 'far to go' or not XD
But like I said you could at the very least do a professional comic with how you draw figures.
Sometimes its a matter of knowing how well you've actually gotten. Remember artists and illustrators who are pro will spend a significantly longer time on their work then might the average hobbyist, you may never know, you might actually be 'there' if you gave it a shot. X)

La verdad traté de hacer algo muy vagamente inspirado en Art Nouveau... siempre he querido hacer cosas así, pero ya después trataré de hacer cosas que sí sean Art Nouveau.
