It reminded me of McHanzo because Robert looks kind of similar to Jesse McCree and Craig looks kind of similar to Hanzo Shimada.
I looked up Craig's last name, "Cahn" (also sometimes spelled "Kahn"), and it's actually of German-origin--though it is certainly possible that he could have some Asian ancestry.

Robert drinks a lot and is an alcoholic.
Craig works out a lot and isΒ practically aΒ workaholic about it.
They'd help each other out so well since they both have problems similar in a sort of "too-much" meaning through it all if that makes sense.

AND Craig has been in a similar place as Robert in the past, drinking his problems away and almost getting stuck in that place...! Of course he never had it as bad as Robert does, but I still think Craig can relate to his alcoholism and maybe even help him!
