Description • • • • • • • • • • • •
Drawn: November 23rd, 2008.
Media: Croquil Nibs and Dr. Martin Dyes .
From: 3 Pillars

Illustration I did to sort of look like a comic cover for my comic, 3 Pillars .
Used all traditional media. I haven't worked with Dr. Martin Dyes in awhile... so it made me all fuzzy inside to do so.

ahh, working with classic mediums. the nestalgia is always the best kind of drug. Now if i could work my digital pad i could have such feelings too. Ahh well, maybe someday. Another job very well done.

I still completely admire your ability to harness traditional media with such ease. Like others have said, the colors are vibrant and help portray the individual characters very well~.

And I also envy you for being able to handle croquil pens. Those things *punish* me. D:

Your abilities to do creative artwork and still manage to make it look AMAZING blows me away! I looove the textures that this method creates!

Great piece, especially since it's SO much harder to do a good drawing with traditional media. You screw up once and you can't just hit an undo button and make everything ok.

I love how you've drawn everyone with their own uniqe personality, and that noone gets lost in the crowd.

Your coloring is top notch as well, every single color stands out without bleeding into the other one. That's hard to do with dyes, I'm sure!

Your characters are so awesome, you definitely have a creative mind!
They would be so awesome to play in an RPG.

@ Rpg:
Hehehe... actually, in the distant past my sister and I were working on an RPG Maker 2000 RPG for my comic... it was later dropped due to lack of time to work on it. I would love to, one day, either re-work it or make a series of standalone simplier RPG's with these characters...

And you are way, WAY too kind. ^^

I love it how everyone is displaying their powers, Kirsche with fire, Geld with light, and Luz with cussing. The only oddball here is Azul because he sucks! Just kiddin'!

Really beautiful piece here, sis!!

Yeah - I never have Azul do anything cool or fun, do I? haaaa.. My hatred for him stems even outside of the comic! Oohohohohoho...

Very beautiful design there, I really do love how they are all portrayed with different emotions to set their personalities.

You did great with the traditional media as well.

This is awesome. Been a long time since I've seen traditional media used for artsy things. It totally does look like a comic book cover!

yesss... and whenever/if/ever it does become a comic, traditional media it will beee!
Tis a shame - Digital media is seemed at being easier, and it is, but I dunno... can't take away the whimsy of traditional materials...

Actually, this really inspires me to dig out my acrylics and Prismas ... it's a shame that digital art mediums have taken over.
