You know, I was really due to draw these guys...
Took me about an hour to render in pencil, and an hour and a half total to CG this. So proud. ♥
NOTE: I actually tweeted a preview of this illustration the day I completed it over on my twitter!
Yup. Ornstein & Smough. Biggie and Smalls. Ren and Stimpy. Jay and Silent Bob. Beavis and Butthead. Toejam and Earl. Bert and Ernie. Pinky and The Brain. Rocky and Bullwinkle. Cookies and Cream... wait, maybe not that last one... hehe.

Some of the info contradicts though.
Example: Gwyndolin made an illusion of Gwynevere. Attack her and the illusion falls and things go crazy, BUT (here's the kicker) if you kill him she's still there and things don't go crazy, none of the other illusions he has made fall. That doesn't make much sense to me iunno though. Love this game

No,I don't think the Maneaters are the equivalent of Ornstein and Smough, it's definitely the Gargoyles. The thing about Ornstein & Smough is that they are completely different and they cover up each other's weaknesses, while the Maneaters and the Gargoyles are almost the same boss just doubled.

Ornstein's armour is beautiful.. I love the colour, and everything about that armour is perfect. On him. On me, it looks silly. I think it might be because we don't get the red plume?

For me this was the best boss fight in the game. I found the Capra Demon and Bed Of Chaos a lot more annoying than Pen and Teller here.

They were but then the update came out and iron flesh got nerfed so the the kings became harder. Now they're about even. I think. I haven't played in awhile

Sadly twas an illustration done BEFORE I got the Dark Souls Design Works, which has amazing references to how their armors were drawn. So don't worry, all future illustrations of Ornstein will be done proper. ^w^

Ornstein and Smough... Don't these two just bring back memories.
My first run through the game, I did without using backup on the bosses (neither NPC nor human).
Consequently, these guys were unpleasant.

They're unpleasant to even the most seasoned player, I think.
Me? I'm ridiculous... I prefer to stand back and pewpew with my Soul Spears and throw Fireballs. I RELY on help. So not fun. Nope.

No, indeed not. Neither was spending the entire night learning their attack patterns (by taking those attacks on the jaw) and mastering the "fighting retreat" style of Dark Souls boss slaying.
