Still trying to figure out what i wanna do with it. I suppose maybe the shadow won't have a set concept for it.... maybe?shitty bg... it just didn't look good with anything in the background.
I know know feet are kind of deformed... ._.;
This was outlined with photoshop, then painted over the skin and hair with Sai, and then finished with some effects in photoshop again...
I have discovered the wonders of Sharpen tool. Makes most things look fantastic.

amazing work this awesome. If you don't mind suggesting shadow truly dark and alone and probably grow to hate the world and perhaps he or it saw her in the dark cold and as alone as he was and grew attach an to get closer to and or to protect her instead of being a mere shadow it became a monster. just a thought that's all

Hfdkhxdfg I love your colouring style for this one :I That less blended style looks gorgeous. And I have no idea where you find the patience to do all those smokey details. |'D I'd be sitting for ages doing it manually, get bored and go do something else. Keep going with this idea though, I think it could spawn some more looovely art <3

Did you use a brush to achieve the effect on the shadow creature? I'd be very interested to know how you did that. Also, I am ridiculously envious of your ability to paint skin values. Haven't quite figured that one out yet...
