This is my entry for 's contest. I chose Squirtle as my starter Pokemon and it is the starter that I chose for the first time when I played Pokemon blue. Reason:
Squirtle is one of my favourite Pokemon because... well mainly because I think he's really cool! (I say that a lot) I like the personalit of Ash's Squirtle in the anime and I guess that made me like the whole Pokemon species. I also remember a certain scene in the episode where Squirtle joins Ash's team. In that particular scene Squirtle takes off his sunglasses that he had been wearing all the time before and we get to see his eyes for the first time. That moment showed how beautiful his eyes actually are and that it was a shame that he had been hiding them behind the glasses till now! I think that moment had a pretty strong effect on me and I haven't stopped adoring that cute little Pokemon ever since! ^_^
The name I've given him is Shiggy! This is the actually Squirtle in German, hehe. But I like this name because in the past when I was watching Pokemon for the first time I always saw it in German. Therefore it kinda stayed in my head that his name is Shiggy instead of Squirtle (or Zenigame which is his real name). And it also reminds me of the olden times when I could watch RTL2 and all those animes in German. Back then I was totally obsessed with Pokemon so this name brings back good memories... ^^

By the way, I do realise that his head is way to big in this drawing and that I could have made him look a bit more like the real one but my drawing is how it is supposed to be. I just thought he'd look cuter if his head was bigger...
