this was a picture for my photography class. we had to take a picture and create a depth of field effect on the computer. i used some photo program in the school's imac computer lab...imac's suck
basically, i selected the girl and the rope and brightened them up, added a blur so it blended in with the background. then i selected the background and blurred it, giving the image the illusion of depth of field(where one part of the picture is clear and the rest is blurred)
